Found a few over the weekend one PLUMB two True Tempers and three no name sledges.

I like the two pulaski, any FSS stamps indicating they were used in the forest service?

I am hoping to come across a vintage Collins Pulaski or even a Rogers if they made them, to restore and gift to my dad, a recently retired fireman.

Great haul!! Big sledge awesomeness!!!

They were bought at a yard sale in Payson Arizona. Really nice place right on a smal river. I cleaned up the Plumb and to my surprise it had a Boyscout stamp.

That's sweet about the BSA stamp on the Plumb! They both cleaned up so well I can't believe how each still have such prominent stamps!

Excellent axes! Love the true temper Pulaski! What's the weight on the Plumb?

Thanks for sharing your axes

Bluebomber! Way excellent score in the Plumb Champion!! That was beautiful and I am amazed you could let it go LOL!!

Miller from CT

Bluebombers plumb was a nice find.

I agree, bluebombers great Plumb score!!

Thanks, all! The Champion was a pleasing little find, and I was tempted to keep it. But this collecting business can get out of hand if I tried to keep everything that comes home from sales. As it is, I'm running out of room to keep my license plates, double box end wrenches, adjustable wrenches, clamps, Vice Grips, saws, cars, trucks and other things I already collect. I was glad to pass it on to a collector and make back 23 times my investment.

That said, it's really cool to see the other nice specimens being posted up here. I really do appreciate the history and stories of any old tool that will hopefully be here long after we are gone.

Just finished doing a refurb on a Hultafors Bruks hatchet. Head was all rusted and handle wasn't set tight.

This is it between my Gransfors Bruks small forest axe and mini hatchet.

I do have a bit of maple but I'd have to glue 2 slabs together, would that kill the stability or longevity?

I've reused handles where the head snapped it off fairly clean. I can't say I stripped a handle off to re-use...
