I picked up this tailgate from a 67 ford a friend had in his junkyard. It was bent severely along its length, so I drove my truck over it a few times until it was reasonably flat again.
Legs are ex-fence posts, sch40 2.5". I capped bottom ends so it doesn't sink in the gravel, and also made provision for anchoring to concrete.
I welded plates to the tailgate sheet metal to make flat spots for leg attachment points. This way I can replace the tailgate with something else in the future if I want to.
Not sure if this is final location. If so I need to add a way to anchor the legs. and lighting. and power. and compressed air.
