I have a Husky/St Bernard mix and her eyes are multicolored. Not from one to the other, though, but each eye is part blue and part brown. You can kind of see it in the picture below.

Any idea what’s she’s mixed with? Didn’t you just get another rescue Shepard within the past couple of years that you posted here?

Sasha’s going to be a good looking dog.
It's been 5 years or so since we got our last rescue shepherd mix. Blitz got sick, diabetes, and went blind soon after. We were struggling trying to keep his blood sugar down, getting him to eat, eat. after he went blind he hurt himself several times running headlong (literally) into several things. The last straw was him getting very aggressive with my wife when she was trying to help him. It wasn't fair to the dog to suffer the way he was. I had him put down about 6 weeks ago. He buried in the back yard next to our 1st rescued shepherd mix

I choose to believe that "dog" being an anagram for "God" is NOT a coincidence!

Won't it be a revelation if we get to the pearly gates and He is waiting for us with a record of how we treated the different "Hims" in our life! Dogs are so great!
I actually say this DAILY. Oh yeah, I work in GODS house. One of his CHURCHES!

Sorry to hear that. That's sad.

Both are rescues. Little guy on left is approximately 13 yrs old. His name is Louie and he's a long hair pure breed Chihuahua. He is bow legged and the POS breeder kept him in a cage his exact size for a year before he was rescued.
Little guy on right is DJ. He is Maltese and Chihuahua mix. Approximately 7 yrs old now. I got him when he was about 6 months old.
Unlike any human, these two have shown me UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for many years.
My best friends in the whole world! Love them both with every fiber of my being.

They have been taking care of me the last 5 months. Rough time in my life. If they weren't here, I wouldn't be here today!

We have a hard time turning away dogs in need.

Thank you for doing this. I am absolutely convinced that rescued dogs KNOW they’ve been helped and show their appreciation and greater affection for their rescuers.

It’s also interesting to me that large dogs like these German Shepherds will sometimes fight when they meet on the street or sometimes even at a dog park. But when you introduce them into a pack like you have they find their place in the hierarchy pretty fast. Clearly, dogs have their own set of rules and live by them with each other. And it ISN’T the biggest, strongest that are always the leaders. I’ve had dogs that defer to a smaller, older or female dog because they were there first and are recognized as the leader of the pack. We humans should be so smart!

All the wonder in the universe, all the discoveries we make, all the knowledge we gain as a race...I'm convinced we'll never be as smart, faithful, or affectionate as our K9 friends.
I learn all I can from mine and others I'm lucky to be around. Humans...not so much.

GSDs are very pack-oriented and most adapt quickly to different situations. My female (passed in 2017, cancer) was fiercely protective of the pack when out on walks. However, if a dog or person joined us on a walk after about 15-20 minutes she would settle and if anyone approached that dog/person, she would protect them as if they were one of her own.

That little Terrier at the back right is pretty bossy btw and some of the bigger dogs do indeed back down from him. :)

Jazz1 - Why is he called a "blue" poodle?
Has to do with coloring,,he’s not black,,the grayish as I see it is why he’s referred to as blue. I was not familiar with the term either. Freddy is from a very reputable kennel,,,same kennel our previous poodle hailed from and lived 15 healthy years

Update on the duck...The feet/legs are severed and gone (M.I.A.). I went to dinner with friends but when I came back home and noticed I questioned Cooper about it in detail, he won't come clean...I guess the truth will be exposed in a day or so out in the yard.

He's such a tool...In a good way. LOL This is the worst things he ever does

That's kinder, gentler. Otto would already have the stuffing out of it as well as removed any appendages. And he'd be banging the floppy rag against my leg to play tug o war.
