Meet "Dude", our new family addition, long hair German shepherd. First shop visit last Sunday, and already way more into it than our almost 11 year old Husky ever was! LOL

I did some painting today and sure enough the puppy (Curious Clyde) thought it would be a good idea to stick his face into it.

My fluffy dawg. Hes worth his weight in gold, he leaves no hair behind. But he does like to eat things that he shouldn't.

My buddy got his ear badly infected and on Black Friday had to get a double the price blue light special operation. The poor guy has been saddled with the cone of shame for the past week.

I had both dogs in shame last week. They have re-arranged most of our furniture.

My buddy in better days. Lost his battle with failing joints and old age in November. Quite a character, and the cutest puppy I have ever seen. He had a cast iron stomach. He chewed through 8 remote controls. I would see little numbered rubber pads all over the yard. Probably snagged a hundred bucks worth of baguettes over the years. The most affectionate dog I ever had, and a great singer. I don't think I'll ever find another one like him. Lockdown puppy prices are obscene around here.

Mack when he’s not in the rain snow or mud he hangs out in the shop. Right at 215lbs and wouldn’t bite a biscuit but scares the **** out of everyone that comes a knocking lol.

She don’t move fast but she loves being in Daddy’s space any chance she gets.

No wonder I am putting a back seat back into my off-road truck.

Beautiful.

I just snapped a picture of the two Younguns out in front of the garage.

The old boy is inside with daddy where it’s warm.

Those two knuckleheads can stay outside all day they have no interest in being couped up in here with me

Sorry for your loss, he looks like he was a sweet pal. Made me laugh thinking about remote buttons all over the yard - I once had a rascally dog that ate what he wasn't supposed to, but I don't think he ever did that! (altho if I'd known your story back then I'm sure I would have blamed him every time I mislaid the remote....) Someday when you're ready you'll find another buddy - he/she will have some different ways but will be another good pal, that's their superpower.

OHHH, more babies!!! Mine's 2 1/2 yrs now, thinking of getting a buddy for her in a couple of years or so. Most of the time I had 2 dogs, just have to wait for a while for the next.

Best thing I ever did was get 2

The old boy is 12
So we are just keeping the tradition going.... even though sometimes two males are a challenge.

If you do get another one I would definitely suggest opposite ***.

Funny,
My boy Mitch was slowing down at 12 years old so we decided to get another male

And when the puppy got here Mitch suddenly was rejuvenated and now he runs around more than ever.

LoL !

I think I may have three dogs for sometime now

I hope so.

John T,
Mitch is looking pretty darn good for large dog at 12 years old. At that age they're usually nearing the end. Make sure he knows he's still your No. 1 best boy.

For you guys with older dogs, this is what I give my Lab daily. I used to use Cosequin DS for years, did a ton of research and comparisons of other dog supplement brands and came of with this solution...Less expensive and more effective. The speed and running around says it all. I ran out of the joint tablets for about a month or so and he slowed down a ton, a week or two back on it and he's speeding around like a 5 year old. The fish oil is also great for the skin and coat.

1 tab and 1 softgell daily. When starting do 2 tabs daily for a the first few weeks. Woof.

Also, @ Ichabod, has Clyde grown into his head yet

his head is getting bigger with everything else. just turned 8 months, i guess about 145 pounds. in about another 8 months I will be able to get him certified as a therapy dog maybe the nursing homes and hospitals will be open by then.

A therapy dog? Great! 145 pounds @ 8 months? What do you feed him? Trainers from the therapy school that didn't comply to his rules?

And I agree, Bode is also a very good looking boy!

You may want to get him a handkerchief to carry around to wipe those dangly things from his mouth. He might get embarrassed otherwise.
