I have some doggy cleansing wipes handy for the Pugs wrinkly bridge over their 'nose' that collects all sorts of ****. The slightest wrinkle of the keep fresh packet sends the Tan Pug from zonked out to diving off the sofa like a rocket with me in hot pursuit. Pudding isn't bothered even though you have totally dig in there to clear the black hole. Fifi & Max look gorgeous

Thank you!
They're super sweet pups - well, mostly her. Soft mouth, super affectionate and wouldn't hurt a fly.

I mentioned before I responded to a Craigslist ad for a labradoodle (NO Lab in her) and got Max when he ran out of the house crying when I put "Phoenix" as she was called then in my truck. He tried jumping into the truck but was too small. The woman said, "...he's my dad's dog and he's thinking of letting him go too." So with him whimpering and jumping I asked if I could have him too and she said ok. So two for the price of one!

Now I know he nips people's shoe laces or cuffs if someone he doesn't know comes into our house. He's blind in one eye and I know he's had multiple prior owners - probably because of this(??). He's sweet as can be to us though still occasionally shys when I reach my hand out to him - so I think he was abused in the past...poor little guy. But they've both got a forever home now.

In my truck for the 1st time. They didn't know me but they'd been stuck in small backyards and I think they knew they were leaving for an adventure. She was 1 year old. He was "maybe 4 or 5 years old" per the vet. He'd been with her since she was a puppy so he seems to regard her as "his" to protect and at the same time he was scared but she was friendly immediately.

Last night late Max came in from doing his business and as is usual for him, carried one of my sneakers in from the living room. As I've posted, he never chews them even a little bit. They're kind of big since his legs are so short but it doesn't stop him. He even jumps onto a chair near my bed with one in his mouth, then jumps from there to the bed - seems like quite a feat for such a little guy. I think he regards them as security blankets?

I indulge him because he's a multiple time rescued pup. No idea how many times but he's now VERY bonded to me. A mini-terrorist versus certain people's shoelaces but sweet as can be with me!

My dad had scanned a bunch of old photos. I was surprised to find these. my parents weren't big pet people but they did indulge their children. This is my dog from when I was 2 until 20.

What a sweet little pup. So glad that she holds such a dear place in your memory. Please tell us her name. I feel their lives should be celebrated by speaking their names often.

This is my Bella. Not a unique name and as you can see she bears more than a passing resemblance to your pup. Bella was the sweetest, most loving little soul. We miss her every day even though she has been gone now for about 6 years. Rest in Paradise. Sweet Bella. IMG_4318.jpeg

I could not agree more with that statement, i have my 'super spoiled' 7 year old GSD now who i have had since she was 7 weeks old. But still have my very first GSD pictures when i was a toddler, right over my bed still. His name was Butch, then after Butch, We got a rescue 1/2 GSD, 1/2 black lab named "Valentine" since we rescued her on valentines day. Both were super smart and loyal pups. But i enjoy every day i get with my Mari now since i see how fast time is flying with her too.

Her name was Tina.

Here's the one time my mom pet her. Dad ran into the house to get the camera.
Mom wasn't a pet person. She used to scream when the cat would rub up against her.

Rest in Paradise, Tina. You were loved and are remembered with great love still. Say hi to my Bella for me.
