OP

My 3 dogs passed in the last couple years and just can’t get another. Don’t really know if and when I’ll get another still missing them. However the feral cats know this and have come into this paradise called my yard. This latest is a fierce fighter of great reknown - antigerito. He kicked this much larger cat’s *** across one side of the yard to the next, had the invader running but pursued him with a flying 6’leap from ground to top of wall pilaster then sprung to neighbor’s shed roof. They fell into the neighbors yard between the shed and wall. He had a split ear is all from that mad tussle. Anyways this is the tunaweight class that has adopted me.

...and snakes, mice, birds, baby bunnies, kittens. I never worry. And, I don't spray. Why do ya think they love it so much? Never been an issue here. Half dozen dogs, and about as many woodpiles. Just lucky I guessi always worry when my girl goes by our wood pile, even though i spray for bugs i know alot of spiders hide in them.
All three were “rescue” Bonnie Huskie from the pound, BrendaLee Johnson Poi dog from a rehab tech keeping this one in her apartment tied to the kitchen table, just a mental physical mess when I got her, and Little Russell literally had to beat off a pack that he was bravely trying to fight off in my hood.TOTALLY relate to missing your pups. My unsolicited advice (yes, the worst kind) is RESCUE another dog or two IN HONOR OF your passed dogs. If there's a Heaven, they would want you to.

Sad to hear their back stories, great to hear that you rescued them. I'll bet that their futures are bright. All three were “rescue” Bonnie Huskie from the pound, BrendaLee Johnson Poi dog from a rehab tech keeping this one in her apartment tied to the kitchen table, just a mental physical mess when I got her, and Little Russell literally had to beat off a pack that he was bravely trying to fight off in my hood.![]()
i dont need to worry too much about snakes or bunnies in my backyard lol. But Yes, here in Long Beach, there is no other spider in my backyard other than brown recluses and black widows. Those are the 2 spider species i was referencing too that i worry about that love to be in my wood pile, which is why i spray. I dont want an expensive vet bill...and snakes, mice, birds, baby bunnies, kittens. I never worry. And, I don't spray. Why do ya think they love it so much? Never been an issue here. Very common in Southern Ohio also.brown recluses and black widows
Thanks for saving them. They've formed their own pack now. My little one, Max is the one I call a mini terrorist. I know for certain I am at least his 3rd owner. There will be no other now. He is very loving and warm to us and all we know but he's reactive to other dogs ONLY when he's on a leash. Something bad happened to him and being small his defense was leading with his bite.
Very sad day last Saturday. After just having her 10 th birthday last month. I found Emma on the floor in the living room passed away .
I’m thinking it was a massive stroke . She was the best dog ever and will be missed .
So sorry to hear that. The box brings memories flooding back. They really are family.Very sad day last Saturday. After just having her 10 th birthday last month. I found Emma on the floor in the living room passed away .

We've had cats go 19 years. They're good kids and deserve nice things. My cats had a 50 gallon drum with a raised carpeted floor, with a 100 watt bulb under it for winter heat. I tried it out once, during a blizzard, and it was pretty nice.* officially crazy cat certified
I put Russell’s bolstered bed out, Orange loves it. Took 2 days for him to settle in and he’s now a homeowner with an ARM mortgage (depends on his moods). I was gonna build a cat house out of the old Fire-Pit, got all my tools out to cut some doors an add a roof, insulation. My partner said Naw - Cats don’t have that long of a lifespan.![]()
