Our Fifi and Max (mini terrorist) were looking pretty matted and NOT very white. They like to lay on our concrete patio despite having soft upholstered patio furniture and dog beds. It makes them look dirty and uncared for. Yes, I brush Fifi. Max scrams the minute he sees the brush or comb come out!

So...off to the groomers they went. Man, it's pricey to have TWO of them bathed, coiffed, nails trimmed, belly shaves, whatever else they usually do. But they look so much better. I hope they FEEL better but they'd probably prefer being nasty dirty! PS: Fifi's gold eyes really show in this pic. Kinda looks vampire-ish!

My 3 dogs passed in the last couple years and just can’t get another. Don’t really know if and when I’ll get another still missing them. However the feral cats know this and have come into this paradise called my yard. This latest is a fierce fighter of great reknown - an 🍊 tigerito. He kicked this much larger cat’s *** across one side of the yard to the next, had the invader running but pursued him with a flying 6’leap from ground to top of wall pilaster then sprung to neighbor’s shed roof. They fell into the neighbors yard between the shed and wall. He had a split ear is all from that mad tussle. Anyways this is the tunaweight class that has adopted me.IMG_0345.jpeg

i always worry when my girl goes by our wood pile, even though i spray for bugs i know alot of spiders hide in them.
...and snakes, mice, birds, baby bunnies, kittens. I never worry. And, I don't spray. Why do ya think they love it so much? Never been an issue here. Half dozen dogs, and about as many woodpiles. Just lucky I guess:rolleyes: Oh, LB,CA. Makes sense.

TOTALLY relate to missing your pups. My unsolicited advice (yes, the worst kind) is RESCUE another dog or two IN HONOR OF your passed dogs. If there's a Heaven, they would want you to.
All three were “rescue” Bonnie Huskie from the pound, BrendaLee Johnson Poi dog from a rehab tech keeping this one in her apartment tied to the kitchen table, just a mental physical mess when I got her, and Little Russell literally had to beat off a pack that he was bravely trying to fight off in my hood.IMG_0833.jpegIMG_0356.jpeg

Sad to hear their back stories, great to hear that you rescued them. I'll bet that their futures are bright.

i dont need to worry too much about snakes or bunnies in my backyard lol. But Yes, here in Long Beach, there is no other spider in my backyard other than brown recluses and black widows. Those are the 2 spider species i was referencing too that i worry about that love to be in my wood pile, which is why i spray. I dont want an expensive vet bill

Thanks for saving them. They've formed their own pack now. My little one, Max is the one I call a mini terrorist. I know for certain I am at least his 3rd owner. There will be no other now. He is very loving and warm to us and all we know but he's reactive to other dogs ONLY when he's on a leash. Something bad happened to him and being small his defense was leading with his bite.

But it's a warning. Once he's nipped cuffs or shoe laces, or even another dog's paw it is over. He backs off completely. Facially he kinda looks like your Russell except white.

This is Churro, he's just coming up 2 years old but he's still a little too mischievous to be allowed in the garage, as any gloves, rags or hand tools are also his. He's learning but still can be possessive.

He's a Cypriot rescue, having been taken off of the streets by Dali Dog Rescue. We've had a doggy dna test done and found him to be a mix of 19 different breeds.

He's a great big softy at heart though, which you've to try and remember once he's pinched a bit of your dinner.

We're just home from a long weekend in Pismo Beach area here in CA. The dogs want to be with us of course but they are cooped up a lot. I walked them 4 or 5 times per day but they're in harnesses and on leashes so...."cooped up".

We get home and my younger, bigger dog, Fifi get the "zoomies" and WANTS Max to chase her, wrestle with her. But he doesn't run on her orders, only when he wants to. So he just nips at her as she passes by at full speed. I hope this short video posts and works!

Well hell. I can't get it to show when I use "Attach files" and since it is a video there's no "Copy" function on it.

Very sad day last Saturday. After just having her 10 th birthday last month. I found Emma on the floor in the living room passed away .

I’m thinking it was a massive stroke . She was the best dog ever and will be missed .

Zuzu won the December slot on her rescue's calendar. Everyone else's layout is in full color and we chose to do a B/W scene paying homage to It's A Wonderful Life, the movie where her name comes from. Fun to do and it raised a bunch of money to help more dogs find homes!

Sadly, I have no more shop dog. He's been gone for almost 2-years now. :(

His ashes are in the little wooden box, next to a paw print in plaster.

Kilo was a good friend. He never smiled but I knew he was happy. A good guard dog too. He once cornered and then chased off an adult Sheperd. :)

Chihuahua Terrier mix. Adopted from a shelter in 2012, where he was the only small dog in a large dog populated section.

As he got older, he became tired and would leave the noisy shop for a quiet comfortable place in the house.

Christmas was his favorite time of year.

I put Russell’s bolstered bed out, Orange loves it. Took 2 days for him to settle in and he’s now a homeowner with an ARM mortgage (depends on his moods). I was gonna build a cat house out of the old Fire-Pit, got all my tools out to cut some doors an add a roof, insulation. My partner said Naw - Cats don’t have that long of a lifespan.IMG_0356.jpeg

We've had cats go 19 years. They're good kids and deserve nice things. My cats had a 50 gallon drum with a raised carpeted floor, with a 100 watt bulb under it for winter heat. I tried it out once, during a blizzard, and it was pretty nice.

Sorry for the photo album . With Emma passing last week I figured I’d share some family fun . It’s been extremely hard coming home and not having that wagging tail greet you.
