Daisy and I went for an ATV ride today, well I rode the ATV and Daisy ran around with her nose to the ground, came across this print that was about 4 inches and then seen a muskrat, little ****** was vicious, at one point he was attached to the bottom of my ATV. Glad Daisy didn’t notice him.

Fifi & Max wish you a Merry Christmas! This was at the groomer's today. Not going back to the DIY grooming place in #6,327 above.

They don't look that happy. I told her they both wouldn't look at the camera at the same time. She said she could do it. I don't know HOW she did it but maybe that's why they don't look too happy.

PS: Yes, I am this big an emotional slob about my dogs.

This is “Callie”. She is a new rescue for us. Historically, we rescued greyhounds. In fact, I bet one or more of my “angels” are somewhere in this thread.

Callie is a nice girl, still getting used to her surroundings. She has totally stole my heart, and I invite her into the shop all the time. She walks in, sees all the spooky woodworking tools and leaves. Eventually, I’ll make her a lounge space out in the shop so I have someone to talk to besides myself! IMG_0739.jpeg

Here's my sister's new rescue as I posted back in #6327. She got him from a homeless lady who'd found him wandering on the street alone and hungry. This lady that has literally NOTHING was at a Dollar store buying a collar & leash for him so he wouldn't get hit by a car. My sister related to her that she'd recently lost her little dog so the lady asked if she'd foster him saying, "I can't really afford to feed myself much less a pet but I don't want him to starve". What a kind person.

My sister has had him maybe 2 months now. Just had him neutered. He's a puppy still. Under 1 year old. He's truly a little mutt but he's got a cute face and personality and he's full of energy, extremely friendly. Seems to love my girlfriend. We visited today to exchange Christmas gifts and have lunch together.

A couple reminder photos just how wonderful dogs can be. This is our dearly departed gentle giant 1/2 Dobie 1/2 German Shepherd, Oly. His bark could raise the dead!

He ADORED our now 10-1/2 year old granddaughter, Charlotte. He slept under her crib from the first night to protect her I guess. Later when she was learning to stand she'd hold his collar to steady herself. He'd NOT move so she wouldn't fall. Normally, when someone would walk a dog on the street he'd bark damn loud. When Charlotte was with him like this, not a peep. Didn't want to scare her. A prince among dogs. Rest in paradise, Oly. You ARE a great friend.

As long as she's not in pain keep her fed and warm. She may not remember much but she will know she's safe.
We are doing all we can for her, but unfortunately she is in pain. Although she has been loved and had the best of care for 11 years, she must have suffered terribly as a pup and young dog prior to when we adopted her.

She never wanted any affection from us in the past and now if you try to gently touch her face to clean her eyes or just groom her, she goes into a meltdown and has bitten my wife multiple times, the last time hard enough so that I had to take my wife to urgent care the next day due to an infection going up her arm.

Hard to believe that a 11 pound and dropping dust muffin could do that much damage.

We thought that she was at death's door recently, not eating or drinking for 2 days and having convulsions, then she ate and drank the next day and made a miraculous recovery.

Everyone says you will know when it's time, but it's really hard to tell with her.

I'm very sorry to read this. She is clearly in pain or fear or both or she wouldn't bite. Dogs bite out of fear nearly 100% of the time. I hope she passes quietly, peacefully without you having to have it done.

Pudding's shift in the garage today. I had my first ever canister style oil filter to change on the Widow Maker and had been warned it can be a messy job. Patience won the day with not a drop of oil spilled under Pudding's supervision. The 4 post lift sure makes work a breeze although I did crack my head on one of the ramps having been lazy and left them on at head height!
