Here you go. Piper and a fox:

IMG_6232.jpg

I blew the picture up and isolated the picture with just Piper in it. I showed it to her. She immediately said the name of our last dog, because she thought it was her. The dog was named Nancy and my wife has not been up to replacing her after she died several years ago. I then returned the picture to its normal size and she was shocked that it was not a picture I had pulled up of Nancy.

Of course, we think you have a nice looking dog.

This is not my cat. But he hangs out in my shop a lot because his family got a really irritating dog so he decided to become an outside cat. He hangs out with me and at least two other neighbors.

His names Monty, he is super helpful and loves my old cougar and thinks its his. I have to constantly check to make sure he isn't hiding in it. He is mad because I sat these rolls of radiant barrier on it for a couple mins. -

20 years ago, My old farmhouse was the last house on the road, and my nearest neighbor was about 1/4 mile away. There was a great outdoor cat I named Tigger that hung around all the time, so I kept a bowl of food on the porch for him and assume he had made my home his..
One day the neighbors kid walk down while I was outside.. with Tig hanging around as always.. I knew they were moving out that weekend but she came over to Tigger, said she came down to get her cat.. picked him up and carried him away. I was so dumb struck I didn’t say anything..

He was a good cat.

That's a common thing with cats. They may be owned by someone, but they hang out with who they like, sometimes not in the same neighborhood.

Dogs have friends, cats have staff.

I have a couple of my neighbor’s cats who came to live with us. My deal was, if I am paying the vet bills, they are my cat. I had discussions with the neighbors and they were OK with it. The cats did not like being around their new large dog.

We've got this goober. She doesn't like the garage though.

We also have this cat who tolerates us. She's the alpha in the house.

Occasionally, the neighbors cat will come and hang out with me in the garage. She roams around the cul de sac and pays everyone a visit.

Is that a Bay Point blanket with the cat? I had the same one that disappeared somewhere along the line, wish I still had it.

Had to say goodbye to our little Winter today. Poor kid developed a tumor on her throat that didn’t respond to chemo and was situated such that operating was inadvisable. She still had mostly good days, but this week it began to affect her breathing while trying to sleep.
She was the smartest dog I’ve ever met and was our timekeeper- she let us know when it was time to get up, time to go to bed, time to eat, time to go out. She would put her head up and howl like a 12 pound wolf to let us know. She was a little girl with a big personality and will be missed.
Winter during better days:

Otto with his new haircut.

Once winter really sets in, I lay his sweaters out, and he picks one. Then we just cycle through them at random. If I take off his sweater in this cold, he'll ***** me out, grab one, and keep bugging me til I put it on him.

Kay, it's winter, if you stopped trimming his fur, he'd have a natural sweater... :see:
