How's the new addition settling in Kay?
She's doing good. She's on my lap right now. She's been mostly pooping outside. Both mistakes were near the door, so it's probably our fault. She sleeps in the bed. Plays with Otto. He's getting to accept her. They spent hours loafing together today.

I think… he’s broken….

I just don’t know anymore!
He's young, right?

Been around any other dogs?

My (male) dog usually squats to pee. Figured he did it as all the dogs he met while a puppy were female. Then I found out it's a breed trait (less disturbance when tracking game) and when he's somewhere a male dog has peed he will lift his leg 3' high to mark.

Roxi last week, while we were abroad. She stayed with my daughter and didn't break anything. I'd call that a win.

Happy New Year everyone!image000000(74).jpg
Roxi is beautiful. She truly reminds me of my beloved Oly who passed away almost 3 years ago now. He was a gentle giant with a bark that would wake the dead. He ADORED my now 10 year old grand daughter. Slept under her crib, let her sit on him, when she got old enough to stand up but couldn't yet walk she'd hold his collar to steady herself. He'd normally bark at passers by but NOT when she was with him so he wouldn't scare her. And he would not move so she wouldn't fall. Rest in Paradise, my boy.

Just another couple pictures of my pups because I'm an emotional slob about them. Fifi was rescued from an ad on Craigslist. The lady said she just didn't "have time" for her anymore. She was 1 year old in a small backyard.
When I decided to take her and put her in my truck little Max ran out of the house crying and trying to get into my truck but he was too small to jump that high. I asked, "Who is that?" And she said, "He's my dad's little rescue dog but he's thinking of letting him go too."
So I asked if I could have him too and she said ok. SO SO glad I took him. I feel certain he'd have gone back to a shelter and ended up being killed. Since he was a rescue previously I don't know how many owners he's had. He seems to be afraid of a lot and it took a long time before he trusted us completely. He's a very sweet little guy. He'd reactive to other dogs but settles right down once he's around one for a couple minutes. Both are as sweet and devoted to me as could possibly be.

That pic of Little Max is an awesome example of personality!

Doing the annual changeover from snowblower and shovel to mowers and weedeaters. Pulled everything up to the garage for a couple weeks worth of maintenance. Tuneups, new blades and tires and all that. First mowing is still a month away. The boy thought we were gonna mow today :ROFLMAO:

Yea. I just did a couple weeks ago. He's due again. But he's a "digger". Damn things grow faster than ... and no foo foo boutique visits here. Hasn't worn much off thru the winter either. They don't "click clack" when he walks. That's a half day job and a whole 'nother thread :ROFLMAO:
edit: Looked for a picture of your sidekick(s) and all I see is just a bunch of tips for others. Thanks though👍

One of these scratch boards with hidden treat compartment might work to keep his nails short.

Took the dogs camping. We have to take 2 vehicles now because all 4 humans and two dogs don't fit in the truck.

We need to do some serious leash work with both boys. They're pulling way too much on hikes. It's our own fault. We don't walk them here at home very much as we have a large back yard for them to run in.
