my old malamute. lost her 2 years ago and still aren't coping withher loss. she used to "borrow" any tools she could find and stack them on her mat

The eternal Guard dog. would let kids climb all over him. would be friendly to any and all people so long as i was comfortable. come into the yard without me if you didn't know him, and he would bail you up with the scariest snarl i have ever seen. one night, the neighbours daughter's boyfriend pulled the old "escape over the fence" when her parents rolled home early one night. poor ******* was trapped in our yard for 6 hours until we got home. thankfully he never had to go further than snarl... his jaw pressure saw us buying him a brand new kong every week...

lost him a year ago, and still feel like he's looking out for me.

Garage cat moved in with a girl i was seeing a few years ago, and stayed when she left. not normally a cat person, but this one has personality in spades. thinks he's a dog. IS the alpha dog over my malamute. regularly brings home vermin twice his size. always shares his kill with the dog.

now the current malamute, and the youngest dog i've had in a long time. she's about 3. abusive home... still has a few lumps where the bones didn't heal properly. eternally greatful for a second chance. never leaves my side, and always has an opinion on everything... like a true apprentice.

we're a motley crew of rejects. all have been mature age rescues, and you couldn't ask for better dogs.

For some reason my dogs really hate the camera but I finally got a picture of them in the shop.
Both are Shepard half breeds. The black is half husky with discolored eyes.

You not kidding ! They are very grateful and Yukon is very opinionated and mouthy. He`s my boy which is fine by me, the wife is followed by the other two. He`s our second Mal and will not be our last ! Like a fellow Mal owner told me.... You never own a malamute, they own you.

Good of you to take on a rescue also ! And shes gorgeous.

Hey Guys,

I just lost my best friend yesterday morning. She collapsed after our morning walk. It was totally unexpected and I will miss her greatly. She loved being in the garage with me and would constantly come up to me and would lick my face every time I was on the floor working on something. She will be sorely missed.

Sory for your loss. :(

My Shadow licks my face and gets in my way for a minute or so every time I work on the floor as well. You get used to it after a while, and would probably miss that.

This is Ruby, she is a GSD that we are fostering for the local GSD foster group. She is very sweet around the family... not so sweet to anyone without our nod of approval. ;)

Fritz, my new garage dog, we've had him for about 2 1/2 months now and what a great dog he is. We got him from a pit bull rescue, he was almost starved to death when they got him. We came to see another dog at the rescue and he (Fritz) decided that we should be his humans. He is such a clown and what a cuddler he is, always wants to be with you.

I've posted pictures when we first got him and just giving you guys the update.

Just another part of the family. They love to play with the little kids and to p*ss off the delivery guys. I never thought they would even scare anyone, but every time I'm not home and a stranger comes to deliver something, I get a call asking if the showing of the teeth is real or not? All you have to do is say their name though, and they'll be your best friend.

Like a fellow Mal owner told me.... You never own a malamute, they own you.

i was always told "you can train a malamute to do anything you tell them to, provided it fits in with their schedual and core beliefs..."

Our first dog:
Moose... female, rescued in Los Angelese, at 6 weeks, and now 3 year old.... Named after "MooseTracks" Ice Cream cos of the swirls on her face...
We dont know what she is... They say American Staffordshire/Great Dane.
All we know is she is super smart and fast as a greyhound!
At the Beach, that she loves..

And last year we added Cole...
Black lab/Pitt mix they say.
Rescued at 5 weeks old and 8lb after being used as "Puppy Pitt ring Bait". His back was all torn up, and multiple broken ribs, but he healed and is a star!
My girlfriend calls him Coley Gamboli!
At the rescue center...

Alot of the time we had at least 2 dogs Here.
At one point there was 5 dogs.
Over the last 31 years, We Usually had Labs, Black labs or Chocolate Labs.

But Now we are down to 1 Dog, our Boxer who is 6 now!

The other Dogs are My sons and Daughters dogs, who now are all on there own. But my Kids and the dogs come over to visit and run around the Yard.

The Younger looking Boxer is Ours and loves to hang out in the Garage with me. She actually will get upset if she is not included in the trip outside and to the Garage.
