My good garage companion Chewbakka having left for Pluto (where all good dogs go) some months ago, we picked up "Sundance" today, just two months old. We still have a very gentle 6-year old female Rottweiler Xena, who keeps me company in the garage too.

Kelsey........ German Shorthair with Molly the pup (now 11)... 10 years now waiting at the bridge for me.. RIP The one think about Kelsey was that when in the house, she loved to be comfortable, so she would always pick the bed even if you were in it.

He looks like a good companion. How large do they grow? Friendly?

his daddy is about 165 lbs, and ours was the biggest pup of the litter... so we think he'll top out around 165-175 or so....
and yes, he's a GREAT family dog... we have 3 kids. 7,10,& 12... he's a little protective, but that's a good thing where we live... we had a moose in the front yard last week... he tore down the stairs, got between our son and the moose with it's calf, and barked his "big boy bark". lol... the moose and calf ran off, and Brutus just made sure they weren't coming back...
he's really laid back, but forgets how big he is when playing sometimes... just gotta make sure he knows his limits and he's great.
cool looking pup you have there!!!

We have 2 right now. A chocolate lab/australian shepherd mix and a beagle/schnauzer mix. But this big guy was by far the best shop dog. Hes a black lab/pit bull mix and a big *** goon. Lovable as hell. Was abandoned at 9 weeks in 100+ degree heat and picked up as a stray with puppy strangles and ear infections. We rescued him and got him healthy. Loved the garage, but my beagle/schnauzer doesnt like many big dogs and since she was here first we had to make a choice. We found Hank a good permanent home with a friend of mine. Miss this meathead a lot.

JustBob, what kind of dog is Dixie? good looking dog

I'm not real sure, a friend of mine had a full blood lab that suddenly had pups.
All the rest were black and white(think hunting dog) or solid black. I just tell everyone she's mostly lab and her tails a chow...lol

Heres mine. We just recently put her down due to severe arthritis, she couldn't walk very well and she was in pain.... She was my girl for 16 years and lived a great life. She was a lil fatty too, lol. She had a great temperament and was never a problem.

View media item 6569Here is our new addition to the family. We just got him a week ago. We lost our last Shepherd, April, a little over a month ago and we will never forget her. She LOVED being in the garage with me.

Our new pup, Rocky, is a 14 month old we got from the German Shepherd Rescue. He has been a terrific dog and definitely full of energy!

Here's Belle, my 16 year old Brittany. Hunted grouse, pheasant, and quail over her for years. Many very happy memories! Now arthritis, cataracts, and deafness keep her home and close at my side. The days in the field may be over, but she's still a great companion.
