Thanks....She has been a real good dog so far...she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia on her left side at about a year old and then a couple months after that tore her CCL in her right knee. We had to fix one or the other so we chose the knee surgery, it was the TPLO procedure. She is about three months post opp and is doing great.

Some pictures of my Australian Shepherd, Kaylee. My mother raises aussies, but I found Kaylee on Craigslist while I was still living in Nebraska. Her owner had just got her from the breeder but couldn't keep her due to some health issues. I took one look at the little fluff ball and fell head over heels for her.

At 8 weeks old.

This past December, my girlfriend and I called it quits. We had been together, off and on, since 1994. In 1996 she was having difficulty making ends meet and decided to start a dog babysitting business. Looking after dogs on a daycare basis or long term, weekly or monthly. This she did, and still does, out of her home. No kennels, complete home environment, with personalized care. Proved to be exactly what her customers wanted and were willing to pay for. We did not live together but I was there every weekend to help out and as a result I made many friends within the canine community. More-so than I made with humans.
There were occasions down through the years when an owner would call to say that they wouldn't be bringing their pet for his usual stay as he/she had passed away.
We would send the owner a card of sympathy along with a copy of The Rainbow Bridge.
In post # 269, T56Impala makes reference to "he was sent to the Bridge to wait for me".
This is what he was referring to...

Yeah,it's a camping pics......they're waiting for the replacement shop to be built.

This 'd be Chika,(another resue) heeler.

One nice thing about them heelers-nobody gets in the yard without me knowin'. I don't know WHAT would happen if someone tried getting into the garage nevermind the house.

+1 for the heeler's. They may be small, but they pack a punch. Guess that's what you get with a dog that's half dingo. My parents have one, never would expect a dog with a mouth that small could puncture the sidewall of a full size truck tire.

Oh, and looks like this was my first post, ha. Time to stop stalking and get posting ;)

The only thing she does in the garage is place her ball under my creeper, or dead center under the car and then whine until I get it and throw it.:headscrat But she's a great dog and companion, and an even better bird dog. She's a full bred German Shorthair Pointer.

Here is my 3 month old Yellow Lab Riso. I have had her a month now. What a smart great dog. Loves my two daughters and wife to death. Off leash in the city and she stays right by my side. Had her sitting on command by the 3rd day I had her.

Nice looking Lab, but then I'm partial to Yellow Labs these days. R1chy
