He'll guard the goods in his sleep, only after a good run.

Here's the only dog we bought at a pet store. Wife fell in love with her & wouldn't take no for an answer. Was ok for the 1st year, then downhill from there. We spent a fortune trying to save her but she left us at 15 months. Probably 5-6 months here. It's been 6 years & still miss her.

Another pic of Abby-normal.
See how happy she is? Always scary, wouldn't hurt a flea but her eyes look right through you. Even the vet muzzles her just because of the stare.

Miss Jane, she is our little mess and a whole lot of fun. 17mo Pitt/Boxer rescue.

IMG_8571.jpg

This was from the first weekend we got her, helping me in the garage.
IMG_3824.jpg

She was looking cold and confused so I tucked her in with some shop blankets.

Max - a Silver Standard Poodle. Absolutely wonderful guy to live with and he shares my affection for all things with wheels. Very intelligent, he doesn't shed and my wife isn't allergic to him. He brings a lot of joy to my life.

FWIW,
Carl B.

My past dogs who both left us early last year. Duncan on the left and Henry on the right. Duncan was plain out and out nuts for birds. Henry couldn't have cared less. Difference between a show dog and a field bred.

New dog, Tazzy at 9 months.

Loves birds as well, but a lot calmer (Golden and Standard poodle mix).

Here's sprocket, a chocolate lab/german shepard mix

I'm fairly certain that Sprocket and my dog Sadie were separated at birth...they even have the same white toe on their back paw. She's about 2 years old now, and we got her in Southern Indiana.

Her and Willow, our other lab mix, will hang out wherever we are...that is if there isn't a bed open somewhere.

Wow, 46 pgs. of beautiful pets...It took awhile but enjoyed every minute.

Here's Hemi...He showed up on a friends porch, and after no one stepping forward to claim him, we decided to adopt him.

He was about 2 months at the time, and right around 5 months now. I'll have to get some updated pics.

Don't know if he is a garage dog, but for those that haven't seen it yet here is Denver the guilty dog video (as of this posting date it is almost up to 8 million views). Enjoy

Our girl is gone....a huge loss for us and many others.

Watch a video tribute to this great dog, gone but not forgotten :(

Remembering Rhone, a wonderful St. Bernard:

Great video. Awesome tribute to what seemed like an awesome companion. Very sorry to hear the news. I definitely dread the day we have to face the same :(:(

I've already posted some pics in here, but we keep taking more pictures as she grows up. She's gone from this (~2 months):

i really appreciate these threads..........love dogs and cats but just can't bring myself to be set up for the heartache of losing another again..........my sincere admiration to those of you that can find the strength to have , love and lose such good friends..............been told i am selfish for not wanting to share the love of a pet, but really it's a weakness on my part i openly accept.............on an upbeat note, theyb are at thier cutest covered in mud............

I agree. I had a small poodle for 17 years before her end. Really smart dog. In the end her mind failed her. Then I had a chow/lab mix for 12 years. Had to put her down just a year ago. She was sharp and trusting to the end but her body failed her. Hard to think about going through that with another dog again. I hope there is a special place in hell for those who mistreat their pets. They ask so little of us and give so much.
