Daisy - 1/2 Australian Shepard, 1/4 Border Collie, 1/4 Blue Heeler. Hates anyone in a big loud truck, i.e. - UPS, FedEx, Scwans. Or if a car drives by the house slower than normal, she'll chase it barking from one end of the property to the other - stays on our side of the ditch though.

Goober....how many times have you been asked if your dog is blind in one eye?

I had an Australian Shepard years back (Dink) and he had a white eye. People would always ask me if he was blind in that eye. I always told them "no, but that is his evil eye, so don't stare at it" It was surprising how many people would turn their head away from him.

Gretchen. Horrible shop dog, chews anything left on the floor. Great buddy with a gentle soul.

Doodle? My Mini LD loves to chew sticks. Front of the house looks like a mulch pit!!

Sorry Mike, didn't see this till now. Yes, GoldenDoodle. Wife had to have her. She says "Just come look at her....we don't have to get her, just come look"

Wow, if you go back almost four years ago to the 1st page, part of the reason I started this thread was because of my life time best friend, Dudley's passing at age fourteen. He and Anna are virtual twins. He too had to be helped up in his last days. He was very happy and eating well, etc but his legs finally failed him and he began having seizures. I miss him terribly to this day. Cherish every second with yours.

Oh man, very sorry to hear about the loss of Hoover. I can fully relate; I lost my best friend of 14 years, Dudley last year too. I held "Duds" in my hands at 6 weeks old and I was stroking and talking to him to his last moment. He was my never-to-be-forgotten best friend and I hope to see him again at the end of MY days.

Wow, they are twins. I do spend every spare minute I can with her. It's the least I owe her after all these years. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old too and can't imagine life without her, although I know that is coming all too soon. My other dog died in '09 and is buried in the back yard. I still want to cry every time I mow the lawn in that area. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thats funny! I havnt been asked that, of course we kinda live out in the sticks so not to many people see her. We had a 100% australian shepard befre this one. Great dogs and VERY full of energy.

You're welcome Jimmy. I "lumped up" just re-reading my own prior posts.

Dogs are just incredible beings to me.

Added another one the other week. Cant believe how well both of them get along. Two is much easier then one. All they do is hang out outside and play. The new one is the yellow lab/shepard mix, 1-2 years old and also from the south. She has so much love I cant believe people haven't wanted the two dogs I have.

In the garage...

Here is my "dog" or at least he will tell you he is. Answers to his name, when you whistle, or talk to him. My dachshund raised him like an uncle and I think it took.

Not much of a garage dog, but he's a pretty well behaved and easy to care for little guy. He belongs to my son, who moved last month to a new place that doesn't take pets. He's with us for another month until his girlfriend comes home from college, then she's supposed to take him. He appears to be a pure bred miniature schnauzer, but we don't really know. My son found him one night outside late at night wondering about in the -18* F weather. He looked for the owner for a long time with no luck. Can't imagine a dog like this surviving very long in those temps. That was 4 1/2 years ago.

Wow, that's awful. RIP puppies.

I sure didn't mean to forget the little guy's name...........This is Mac! He is a little clown and makes me laugh a little bit everyday. He also seems to be very good at keeping my very old Lab up and moving.

My old Anna.......again........

I'm so sorry for the loss of your best friend. These things are never easy, but you can take comfort in the fact that you gave him a good home and lots of love.

We lost our female bull mastiff Thanksgiving week. Great dogs. Most gentle dog I have ever had. Wife swears we will not have another large breed but we will see..

Was thinking of starting another thread, but happened across this one following a search. It's been three weeks since we put Pasco down. He's been with me longer than my kids, and was a constant companion as we began our garage project. We buried him on our lot where we one day plan to build our house, where now there is only the garage... and Pasco. R.I.P. buddy....

Will need to get another garage dog... when the kids are ready to move on. They seem to be taking it harder than even I am.

My jack russell, malcolm.
Can be a right git at times, but love him anyway.

Was on the computer one night and thought to myself 'dogs very quiet' always a bad sign...

Went to find him, the sod had nicked my reebox trainers and ate them!!!!

Max & Keira, Shetland Sheepdogs. They only rarely make it into my garage/shop; my wife thinks it's too dangerous out there. She's right, sometimes it's too dangerous for ME to be out there.

This is Sam. 57 lbs. of jumping, biting, chewing hell. You can't turn your back on him or he's in the flowerbeds, digging in the yard, pulling up plants, and on and on. :eyecrazy: He goes to obedience class in two weeks. I have a feeling that he will fail with flying colors. Everyone that I have spoke with says it takes about two years for them to finally quit the bad habits. That time won't come fast enough.

My avatar is Brandi. Sadly we had to have her put down due to aggressive bone cancer. There will never be another dog like her. She was the absolute best dog I have ever owned in my life and I've had quite a few. She now sets on a shelf in our Family Room as we had her cremated as we have all of our pets.

This is Sam (Samantha) She was a rescue that the Humane Society named "Nymeria" apparently it's a Game of Thrones thing. BUT, if I can't pronounce it sober I sure as **** can't pronounce it drunk, so Sam it is!

She can be a trouble maker, but she's the greatest. I've had her for almost a year now and in January her best friend moved in, my girlfriend's dog Oscar

he's about 4 and they have tons of fun together now. I love my big goofy pooches.

They don't get to come out to the garage much right now because I'm renovating it (planning on starting a build-thread soon) but before long I'm sure they'll be the perfect shop-dogs!

This is Chance, my Australian Shepperd.
He was born deaf, but obeys hand signals well.
He loves to go for rides.

pq2j.jpg

He is also very light on his feet.
Pancho is our other Aussie, (the red dog) not as light on his feet, but is a very good cattle dog

This is Bella, lab-pit mix, my daughter named her after the disney princess of course. My wife gets frustrated cause she only listens to me according to her. LOL. First one is when she was a pup, she's about 45 lbs and 3yrs old now. Warming up to the garage, but she is still not sure. She will get there.
