More beautiful dogs. It's hard for me to look at them. I buried my lab last week and I can't get over how empty the house is now. I'm looking for a couple of new ones this week. Hopefully I'll have a new puppy pic to post soon.

RIP my beautiful Anna, you will be greatly missed.

These are my two boys. Apollo is a Pyr and Zeus is a Beauceron. Apollo has hip dysplasia. He is only 1 1/2yr old. The medication seems to help. Zeus is highly active and can be a real clown at time. The "Black Dog" syndrome is a real condition. When out for walks people often want to pet or pay a lot of attention to Apollo....Zeus, on the other hand they seem scared of, when in fact it should be the other way around as far as these two are concerned. Zeus will bark but that's it, Apollo....he barks first but then gets quiet and like to stare when you are close. BUT, if you have treats, you gained a loyal friend in both!

No dogs here, but here is my friend, Kaylee. She doesn't go out to the garage, but waits at the doorwall for me to come back in. She's 3.

Next is my old buddy, Max. He's retired like me and is liking it. He doesn't appreciate ALL of Kaylee's attention at getting him to play, but he'll still come alive at times. He's 16. House cats only, no outside, and we're grateful they let us stay here.

No pictures in the garage yet, but here's my new one. A not quite 7 week old yellow lab. I'm still working on a name. I've been smiling since she got here a few hours ago. :)

Edit: I have named her Carmen.

Jimmy, beautiful little lab you have there. My Bruce turned 7 today and it seems like yesterday I brought him home. Looks identical to yours two of the pics, coloring is about right too. Congrats

Here is Shiloh, our 17 year old chow/Irish setter/German Shepard mix. She was a great watchdog when she was younger. Now she's deaf and partly blind, depends on sense of smell more than anything.

Thanks guys. We thought she was a gonner about 3 months ago. She fell over mid stride one day and didn't move a muscle for 3 days. Took her to the vet and he said she had a stroke. Then later that day she suddenly stood up like nothing happened. Been fine ever since, just a bit slower.

I posted pics of our boy Yukon over two years ago ! We had to say goodbye to him in April 2013 due to cancer in his spine. We lasted about a month without a dog in our home. Meet Payton. He was rescued from the Indian reservation in Eastern Washington. We got him at 5-1/2 weeks old (as pictured). Waiting for DNA test results, but we think he's Belgian shepherd mix. He's now six months old and over 60 lbs.

Still working on breaking in the new shop puppy. Think his name is going from Buddy to Marley. Wife made a bit of stink about the fact that he had a black mark on his fur. I reminded her that she said he was a shop dog and that they somethings get dirty. I guess he gets a bath tomorrow. :lol_hitti

When my Dakota (Yello lab) was a puppy she liked to run under my jeep and would get oil on her fur which drove my wife nuts. I would clean her before my wife saw her with a little dawn and water on a wash rag and she would be good as new in a few seconds with a couple wipes. No point in giving her a whole bath unless you want to. My labs only get one bath a year and I found that no matter how dirty they get it seems to be gone by the next day.

Here is a couple year old photo of my Dakota taken day she discovered the joys of dirt.

We've been taking Sam the helldog Golden to training every week. The teacher that does the training is starting to realize that he is definitely a problem child. I've heard of two different ways to train an animal. THe class we go to you reward them for doing good. My BIL took his GS's to a trainer, and they don't reward for good, but bust *** for not doing good. I don't really favor the second way of training a dog myself. But I have ran into a wall with Sam. My wife is almost to the point she wants to give him away. Our problem with her and I though was that we were spoiled by our las Golden. She was the perfect dog. With Sam, as soon as he is let off of a leash he is going through every flowerbed, neighbors yard, and Lord knows what else. He has about a 60 second attention span. If anyone has ever saw the movie Marly and Me, Sam might make Marly look mild. :willy_nil

I've had three or four people suggest this name Kevin. It must be popular. I'm just too weird for that.

Her name is Dulci, which is short for Dulcinea. Dulci is latin for sweet, which fits her personality perfectly. Dulcinea was Don Quixoti's true love. I love this puppy already. :)

Better than any tool I bought from Acme; I use him to keep the pack rats out of the garage. But I can't get him to stop chasing Roadrunners.:p

My 2. Jake (the white one) and Lexi (the brown one). They are shepherd mixes that both love chilling in the garage. They are helping me gut the interior of my Cressida in the pic.

This was Boomer. 110lb rescue Lab. He was already going blind when I got him, but he never left my side. Lost him to leukemia four years ago and I still get choked up looking at this thread

Here's Cash. He enjoys the finer things in life like long walks, squirrels and the handles of tools left out after the job is done.
