We adopted these three from a Cocker rescue last September:

20121224_153556-1.jpg

Not much to see here. When they're asleep they're all curled up in one mass (usually under a blanket), and when they're awake they typically won't hold still long enough to take their pics!

We're not sure what they really are. I was told Italian Greyhound but their heads aren't the right shape. They look like they might have some Chihuahua, but who really knows? They are taller and leaner than the typical Chihuahua.

The tan one is the mom and the other two are her pups. I really fell for her but I didn't want to separate the family so we ended up taking all three. So we have Minnie (mom), Jana (daughter) and Harvey (son). They're pretty fun. Supposedly they're all about 2-3 years old.

Does it seem to anyone else theat their dog is eyeballing them while they look at the dogs on here? Isis seems to look at the monitor then glare at me.

We lost our Catahoula a year ago to liver disease. This is my new partner, Laila. She is a boxer/pittie mix as far as we know.

We now know from DNA test that our rescued pup is German Shepherd, Golden Retriever and Great Dane. He just turned 7 months and is almost 70 pounds. Still crazy as hell.

This was Shiva, my son found at the shelter on death row. We had her for eleven of her fourteen years. Sadly we had to have her put to sleep last weekend due to illness. She was a constant shadow. She will be missed. :(

New addition a month or so ago. This is Quigley, a 4 month old Bluepoint Tonk, joining our two Platinum Minks. He's a real ball of fire.

(Shhhhhh..... His wife told him it was a dog! Shhhhhhh....):bounce:

Very cute kitten.
:D Nah, some of us are cat people, some like me, are by necessity. You can't have a dog in my area unless you build fences, or have a very obedient dog. The highway I live on is very unforgiving to dogs, and the wife is handicapped, so she couldn't let it out anyway, even if it would stay near the house. Indoor only cats, OTOH, make for low-maintenance pets. And this thread has a lot of cats in it.

Here's my 2 garage buddies. Well Riley the red smooth coat loves going wherever I go. Hershey the brindle long hair hates the garage but if I don't bring him along he will cry in the house till he either falls asleep or until wife flips the fawk out and brings him out to the garage. LoL I'm not a big fan of him in the garage because he has no manners. He ALWAYS leaves me a surprise to step in when he's in there with me. But still love him all the same. Riley likes to sit right by me when I'm under the car. LoL Im waiting for the day he hands me the combo 17mm.

ditto: our neighborhood dogs are nuisances with their car chasing, barking and wandering all over the road when their owners are walking them. I've only run over one this year and rolled it so it's now car shy (thank God I didn't injure or kill it). My cat Ghost is a mouser and lives in the garage at night. He roams our property during the day and greets us (like a dog) when we arrive home...if we sit still long enough, he'll jump up in our laps for some special attention. He follows us on our walks around the property when we inspect and count our cattle...he thinks he's a cattle dog I believe; and when they charge him he runs up a tree...I don't know a dog that can do that!

This is Nani. She is an American Akita - and she's very happy about all the snow we're getting right now.

Unfortunately I had to have my dear old friend put to sleep on Thursday, she was a stray that came with my house when I bought it, she had been my constant companion for over ten years but her age and failing kidneys finally caught up with her, about a week ago we made the decision to move her into the house as she had become unsteady on her feet and with the constant 40c heat, inside the house would have been much cooler. I'm not sure if moving her out of her environment contributed but within a few days she couldn't walk properly and so we took her back to the vet who told us she had multiple organ failure and her time had come as she couldn't eat or drink and they had her on a drip to keep her hydrated, I knew by the look in her eyes that she was ready. R.I.P Pussa my dear old friend.
