She is a 3 year old Australian Shepard, and has become my faithful "Shadow".
She will literally wait at the bottom of a ladder till I come back down.

Apparently the floor is too cold for Liberty so she is taking over my newly repurposed captain's chair.
When it's raining outside she can run on one of the electric treadmills or on one of the slat-mills. Yesterday she 4.75 miles in 65 minutes.
I built the slat-mills.

Feeling terribly sad today. My daughter and son-in-law had to put down my "grand puppy" yesterday. He had a mass on one lung and they knew it had metastasized. He was skin and bones, wouldn't eat or drink the last couple days and was struggling to breathe. He seemed relatively fine until Thursday, then it all went critical mass Friday.
His name was Dude, he was a brindle Boxer rescue they'd had for six years and contrary to what his coat made people think, he was the sweetest, smartest, most affectionate dog. It's like he KNEW he'd been rescued and tried to show appreciation every day!
Rest in Peace Dude across Rainbow Bridge. We will think of you often!

That's my wife, the dog is my mother's. But thanks lol

Oh hell.....I thought it was your daughter
I guess a couple of us were on both sides of the fence.![]()
She's actually older than me, she was 24-25 in that picture. One day she'll appreciate how young she looks I think, right now she just had to deal with the dirty looks from the old ladies at the grocery store who thought she was a 15 year old pregnant out of wedlock last fall while she was carrying our daughter and her fingers swelled up too big to put her wedding band on
And the fact that she just recently got a pair of handme down shoes from a 3rd grader who was in her class a few years ago...and they fit
Great looking friend there- and thumbs up to your wife on the name! I've been a Mazda and Wankel rotary OCD junkie for over 20 years... Zoom-Zoom!![]()
AFAIC, you are absolutely right, but why would you think people think that makes you a typical lefty? Around here, when people free even wild animals, especially deer, from snares and the like, the deer will run for only about 10 or 15 yards then stop and turn around and look at them. Happens nearly every time. Shows up on camera quite often on the news as well. Most everybody says they're thanking you for the help. And, BTW, I'm a die-hard conservative. Some my think I'm being a typical lefty (and I don't give a rip) but I sincerely do think rescued dogs somehow know they've been saved and are extra appreciative of their saviors.
Lickers,
I have a friend that has had two adopted Greyhounds and they've both been great dogs for him. He raves about them.
