Charlie is a BEAUTY. After having had my lifetime best friend Dudley the black Lab and now Sooner, the Blonde but nearly white Lab in my avatar, my next Lab will be a Chocolate. He'll be named Charlie Brown (natch) or Hershey, or Bosco. Not a lot of people are old enough to remember Bosco.

I too had a black lab (anna) and now have a yellow and a chocolate. I love them all but have found my chocolate to be the most entertaining. I don't know if it's the color or just personalities, but she's a clown.

This is Dulcinea......

Ok, ok, you can post your cat I suppose but hopefully your garage mascot isn't a bird, a ferret, a tarantula or a monkey. Ok, I guess a monkey WOULD be pretty cool.

Meet "Sooner" my 6 year old Yellow Lab. He's actually closer to white. He's unusually large for the breed...about 102 lbs and not really overweight. He's pure bred too, though I am no pure bred snob. Mutts are the best dogs in the world I think.

If I know and like you, Sooner is gentle as a lamb. If I DON'T know you...like the mail man, UPS guy, or a salesman? He's going to have a piece of you unless I tell him, "No"...then he's a door mat again.

Let's see your best friend (hopefully)

My Ma always said, "If only there were more dogs, and less people", I think she knew something! :)

I've never had a Doberman but I've heard from their owners their reputation as being mean, etc. is totally off base.

Years ago when I was in college (I'm 60 now, you do the math!) pretty much ALL Dobermans I'd ever seen were black with cropped ears and bobbed tails but I saw a red Doberman without either playing frisbee with his owner. I didn't even know what kind of dog it was and stopped to watch. His owner told me he was a great dog, very friendly. Always been impressed with them since.

This is Tippy. He's a Cairn Terrier and Poodle mix. Usually "supervising" from the top of a tool box, work bench or anywhere I set him that has some padding. He will scratch at the door till I bring him out, then promptly curls up and falls asleep, haha.

yes they are extremely loving and great dogs. like most misunderstood breeds its not the breed its the owners that make them mean. They are a great breed, smart, loyal, they always have personalities.

Know what you mean about Dobes ..... Pete is my third , and they have all be big babies ( unless you rough housed with my grandkids ) . Current one ( Pete ) jumps in the UPS truck for his biscuit and also waits for the postwoman by the mailbox . He has totally destroyed the mean Doberman image in the neighborhood here ..... which at 105 lbs is a good thing .

This is my knuckle head, his name is Bear, he is kind of a lug. Love him to death though. This is his usual spot when he is not busy chewing on a 2X4. But he has the tendency to step on the foot pedal for the tig machine the minuet I start a weld...

This is Baxter. He is a mixed breed of something we haven't figured out yet. We adopted him from Petsmart after the PO gave him up. He has to be the smartest dog I've had. Only need to show him something once and he has it. This is him wondering why I'm taking his pic instead of working on the cars...

Tippy was the name of the very first dog my family had when I was a very little guy. Yours has a kind of racooney look going in that first picture. Cute little guy!

Just curious how'd the dog get from ,North Carolina to Oak Creek, WI ?

She was found by a rescue group. They have SOOO many dogs in the South they can't find homes for them so they send them to fosters all over the country; a lot come to Wisconsin. I found her on Craigslist of all places. It's not a bad deal as your adoption fee includes deworming, first round of shots and spay/neuter.

This is Chena... means water and also a River in Alaska.. i thought appropriate for a water dog.. She is retired from hunting due to seizures at times... don't want to take a chance on one in deep water.

The little pup is my dads dog.

Nothing will make a grown man cry quicker than loosen a dog.

Very true....I lost my best buddy about a year ago...took a while and I was just a mess....finally the wife said we are getting you a dog....so off we went looking.

I give you Remington..

His "booking photo"...by that look I shoulda known.

Here he is at home....I am so wrapped up in this animal it is impossible to explain.

IMG_0103_zpsec38f6f6.jpg

He is about 30lbs now and full grown....have not been on this site in a while, but been looking at pup photos today. He does not like the shop...too many scary things out there, but we are working with him to be more like his big sister.
