Our rescued Portuguese Podengo. She thinks she is 10 tall and bullet proof and has the scars to prove it. 14 years old now

I took this the other day, but Bones is nine months today and weighs in at 63.8 lbs so far. I'm hoping he gains another 20-30 pounds. He's been a terror at times when he's not a loving pup.

OK, full disclosure. We went the puppy route with Pickles (gratuitous picture included) and he is super cute......but, dang I hate puppies! Getting into everything, dragging shoes all over, eating stuff that no animal would ever try to eat. Did I say he was cute? Rocky (8 year old Boston Terrier) had enough the other day too and gave him a scolding.

We will go with a rescue next time - well we agreed on that but time will tell.

He sure does like to climb up on me on the couch and sleep while I watch TV.

Going to be awhile for him to grow into those paws. Nice looking pup

I agree, great looking pup.

An elderly gentleman told me (well more like Bones, see pic a few posts up) one time when I had him at the Vet for a shot, "first you grow big paws, then you grow big ears, and then you grow into them."

You gotta love the older generations and their sayings.

You aren't joking about how much work there is with a puppy. So far he has been good for the most part.

Scary huh??

She's noisy though so that's half the battle.

Re: Morgan and Spark

That is so nice of you, groupracer, to take care of three-legged Morgan. She reminds me of Spark, a Rottweiler the local animal welfare group rescued earlier this month. Spark had with a bullet wound in his front leg that was left to fester by an uncaring owner, and his leg had swollen to such a large size. We sponsored Spark’s hospitalization and care, but unfortunately his leg had to be amputated. However, Spark was up the next day after the procedure and hungry! He is such a nice dog and friendly, even when first rescued, in spite of all the pain he was in. We have kind souls who have offered to adopt Spark, and I hope the rest of his life will be happy one.

Thanks Abstmaria, my thinking was it was supposed to be. I was at the vets (at the RSPCA with my last Rottie Cossie when I first saw (my) morgan, she had just been brought to the shelter having been confiscated. Morgan saw Cossie and made a beeline. I didnt know at that time that COssie had cancer i was going to lose him, but the tow of them got so well, even thought morgan was scrawny and emaciated and badly wounded she still had waggy tail for me and Cossie. I asked about adopting her and the RSPCA said she needed to get back on her feet first. I asked them to let me know.
After losing Cossie I was really upset for a few weeks. then the RSPCA called saying she was strong and although her leg had been amputated due to gangrene I had to take her home......She has been following me around ever since.

Ive kept a photo of your old Rottie from your thread on your amazing Garage as i thought it was one of the best Rottie pics id ever seen. The one of him laying on the floor with his feet next his jowls. It makes me smile.

I really love this thread and all of the different personalities that show up in the pics. there are some truly lucky people here who's lives are shared with some great dogs.:thumbup:
Oh an done or two of you might have some awesome garages as well...:lol_hitti

These guys sure do add a lot to our lives!
Here's Titan last spring. He's about 100lbs now. Starting to mellow out, but not much!
Still just as much of a klutz.

Click on the picture, it's actually a video of him learning to fetch.

I need to get in on this one tomorrow. I always disliked small dogs and now I have three Maltese mixes... the Maltese bichon loves me no matter what. She is up before the sun with me everyday during the work season (march through October) and never misses an opportunity to leave her morning glory right in front of the overhead door outside... sigh. Lovable little rat.

Flyin, a friend said that to me when I was much younger and I didn't understand it at the time. Last night we had a movie night with the kiddos and all three dogs all on the same bed. And now the damn things site here patiently awaiting my cheese scraps. So fun. Nice looking companion you have there,

Shes a pretty cool cat. Hangs right in there with me. She'll even lay on me when Im on the creeper and wont move. Even if I roll under a Jeep and get her all crunched up she stays right there.

Looks just like our girl Zena. The day we brought her home I thought I could put her in a little cage exactly like what you have there, and take a nap. You never heard such whining! I had to get her and put her on the couch with me. That was 7 years ago and she still follows me everywhere I go.

This is Chief. He's been my best pal and my shop companion for almost 14 years.

We adopted finnegan on st patty's day. He has been a great addition, loves hanging at the barn with the horses and riding in the truck.

Cute little fella. I assume he's some kind of terrier mix?

More like, "you done yet, you done yet, you done yet...lets go to the park. You done yet! GAWD!"

O man. That's a perfect description.

She's like, "soooo when's this ride gonna happen?!"

Enjoying these pictures, and not ashamed to post updates on my guys Rocky & Pickles. Pickles is not settling down fast enough (argh - puppies), but I snapped this picture when he did stop for 5 minutes (well maybe 3 minutes)!

Yes, he is a terrier mutt. Can't help but chuckle at him. Has a long body and short legs. Like maybe corgi or basset hound.

Harness for walking. With his reg collar he kept choking himself this makes it so nice he made it around the block with no issues (just got it)
