Mpower what kind of dog is that? Looks like it could be the father of one of mine. They are both Austrailian Cattle Dogs, but the white one “Georgia” has an ACD mother and unknown father. The red boy is “Dinger” and is full ACD red healer. They just take a chair and supervise.

My boy, Gus. 3-year old border collie / aussie cattle dog mix. My first dog I've ever had and he's my best friend. Doesn't spend much time in the shop with me because he prefers to sun bathe in the backyard on the grass while I'm working in the shop.

love this thread (and any opportunity to show my pup)
Here's mine. She's a ridgeback mix and actually prefers to be out and about instead of lying in the garage... loud noises still freak her out.

The first is when we rescued her. Evidently she had been abused as she hated everyone. Now she just doesn't like men...
The second one is this past summer hiking in the sierras...(where she really prefers to be)

Sprout but goes by many other names, Sprouticus, Sproutmeister, Sprouts, Sproutster, Wienie, Wienerdog, Wienie McWienerdog, King Sprout, Sprouty, Pout, Baby, Dinnertime, "clapping noises", and "stomping on the floor for food noises".

Doesn't respond to No, Hey, Hey bequiet, Getoutathere, Go-on, and Shhhh. Mildly accepts "whistling noises". He's getting old now, but all in all, good dog.

Here are my 2 fur balls.

55lb husky Viva and her sister 75lb Rottie Mix Shae.

First pic is after some play time in the garage with their friend Syke. Second pic tired after a bike ride. Third pic keeping a watchful eye as I do some work on my work bench. 8d2e67e8d7cbdfcaaf5812f82b8216ae.jpgd1e3c9394ca70fd460ee827d70b5b635.jpgb586b218937443fab99717e893fc572d.jpg

St. Basil 11.5 year old Bouvier da Flanders.
His first brother would lay right under me, while I welded!
His 2nd brother would lay in the corner.
Basil must be forced to go to the shop!

Zoey, she follows me everywhere. If I stop too fast, she'll run into the back of me. Out in the garage at every opportunity, otherwise she's whining at the door until I let her in. Always at my feet unless the grandkids are here, then she goes into babysitting/watchdog mode...

Here is Apollo. Safe to say he is getting... protective, of my son in his advancing years lol. He still reminds me of an American Quarter Horse when he is at a full sprint though! b399facd5766d334cfef1820b878cc19.jpg

This is my girl Summer. She’s a 10 year old beagle we rehomed. She likes to come out and sniff around the garage but prefers to be in warmth and sleeping on something soft.

This picture is probably going to get me ribbed and I can't even defend myself LOL.

This is not our first great dane but we have been dogless for over a year. On Monday when I got home from work I was instructed to enter the house with my eyes closed. We don't give Christmas gifts early so I wasn't' sure what was up. When I opened my eyes there sat my Christmas gift, an 8.5 week old dane female now known as Livie. Couldn't hide her in a closet I guess.

In my defense I went to Pet Smart with her as a socialization drill. There sat Santa taking pictures with pets for charity donations. Okay, I admit it. I have no defense for that picture. My son lives 3.5 hours from me and did the same thing with his dog, also yesterday. Niether of us knew the other did it. So not only do I get corny pictures of my dog taken but I have passed on the gene that causes it.

Most of the posters in this thread will probably get this. I told my wife it is the best Christmas gift I ever received and it was an honest statement.

The dog I posted in this thread a number of years ago (white shepherd) has since died of old age and worn out body from an amazing lifetime of adventures.

A local stray came into our lives almost a year later. Pit mix looking dog we're guessing came from the local homeless encampment. A wiggly pup at first, turning into a fine, well-trained girl now.

My kids are addicted to her, and she to them. Has never shown a tooth or a growl to them despite their treating her like a third sibling. Boys are four and seven and like to wrestle and play rough. She does it right along with them.

We did good.

A little winter tip. Last week I had my lab out with me for a few hours while I fixed the snow thrower and cleared the drive. He loves the cold weather and is built for it. Later after we went inside I noticed his neck was all abraded where his tags lay. He has aluminum rabies and dog licenses and a stainless contact info tag. Well his fur is normally thin there because of the collar and tags rubbing and I think the tags kept freezing against his skin and his movement kept ripping them away. He's a horse that loves the snow so he gave no indication as it was happening.

Been looking at this thread, brings me a little solace. Had to put my best bud of 15.5yrs to sleep today, his body finally gave out. Vet said we should do it a yr and a half ago, but my guy proved her wrong. Held him and cried like a baby...Love them while you can.

Great looking dogs out there! We have two Bernese mt. Dogs that keep me company in the garage and generally seem to rule the roost... it’s been a while since my forum days hopefully these pictures work!

Cooper ready for breakfast. "Get up, dad."

He loves ice too. It's considered a treat.
