Here's my little dog. Some people disparage small dogs but as long as you raise em right they can be good dogs. Just last night, he heard someone poking around the yard. He warned my wife and ran outside snarling ready to tear up some ***, all 10# of him. :) My wife followed him and found some guy looking at the new construction, who ran off when my wife showed up. Good dog. :) He couldn't actually run anyone off but he's still good for keeping watch.

I hope when your wife went outside with the dog, but by herself, she was armed? Seems fortunate all the guy was doing was looking for something to steal.

No, she wasn't armed. She didn't even know he was there til the dog got to him. We live in town though and the neighbors are close. A yell would've brought 4 or 5 neighbors quick.

Here is my two girls, they both are females and each weigh over 125lbs. I could not have asked for better family dogs, no one would ever dare touch my wife or two human kids, they even go after me if I look at my wife in a wrong way.

Those are pretty nice. I had portraits of mine done when they passed away.

Its been over two years and I still get a tear looking at that.

That is a nice portrait. She has done some for people that have had their "best" friend pass.

There is one best place
to bury a dog.

" If you bury him in this spot, he will
come to you when you call -
come to you over the grim, dim frontier
of death, and down the well-remembered
path, and to your side again.

" And though you call a dozen living
dogs to heel, they shall not growl at
him, nor resent his coming,
for he belongs there.

" People may scoff at you, who see
no lightest blade of grass bent by his
footfall, who hear no whimper, people
who may never really have had a dog.
Smile at them, for you shall know
something that is hidden from them,
and which is well worth the knowing.

" The one best place to bury a good
dog is in the heart of his master."

I hate to state the obvious, but here it is:

"No matter HOW rough, tough, ,mean, hard-***. wrench turning, tool whoring, garage-mahal having, GJ menber being, mo-fo of a guy/gal(rebecca comes to mind)...we all have our 4-legged family member. Cat...dog..or whatever you have..they are ours".

They are just like our own blood, "you mess with them, you mess with me!!"

not very useful in the garage as he is fairly skittish, but he'll go ride in the car for hours on end :)

these are my two pups. the poser is daria, she knows what the camera is and is a wonderful rescue dog. lucky is my brit. hes a great rescue dog as well, although not too well behaved at times. he steals all the food he can, will acknowledge your calling him but just stare at you, and he likes to run. so he goes no-where not on leash and has to be watched carefully.

neither is allowed in the garage, all they need is one big noise and they are gone, but daria just runs away and turns around and looks at you.

my family has two dogs and 8 cats, plus my sister has a cat and rabbit, so you could say we are animal lovers

Ok first up we have Daisy Duke our 4 yr old blue healer(australian cattle dog) who at the moment is expecting her first litter of pups, she does not like the shed much she does not like the noise(might have somthing to do with the incedent involving the shed and a fire cracker).
doggies041.jpg

Next up we have Doobie, from the day we got him home 8mths ago he has been my right hand man in the shed, especially on the cold days when i light the pot belly stove.
He is not fussed by the noise of the shed what so ever he will sleep through me banging on the bench right beside him and the angle grinder does not bother him what so ever, but he does tend to run for cover if i start singing(checky little ******)

shed008.jpg

This is his usual possy sound asleap by the fire.

cheers...

My guard dog, Bruiser. From the local shelter. Vet told me he had some Great Dane in him. New one says Lab, Pit, and Grey Hound. Who knows. Best dog I've ever had.
