My buddy’s shop dog, Max.

And before anyone thinks he is always *******, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

This is a fully operating, open to the public nursery/orange grove and welding shop. Max has free range of the 2.5/3 acres except when a customer arrives. The driveway is setup in a way that is convenient to see customers coming. So instead of having a dog who is still VERY much a puppy/puppy energy running towards customers, he gets leashed.

And yes. He is otherwise VERY spoiled lol.

Never really had a dog before just got this one for my boys but he loves me already! He’s a smart little guy. Reading these stories I am worried about getting too attached. c1eb6c4d79ecd29a106cc868914a7d4d.jpg

Nice Golden Pup. I said this in another thread as I had DCM rob some years of life from my last Golden. Read up on DCM and how it affects Golden Retrievers.

I always say I won't get as attached and as I've gotten older I get more attached. You figure out life is precious as you grow older. Enjoy the pup, they make great friends

I second this request. Beautiful pup.
thank you,
i will post growth updates now and then. he was 20 pounds when we brought him home on Friday. he has a lot of growing to do. his father was well over 200# and mother was close to that mark.

Our newest temporary Garage Dog, Aimee the Great Pyrenees. She was picked up alongside a busy highway and no one came to the shelter to claim her, so we are fixing her up and getting her ready for her forever home.

Drinking a beer while riding a bike. You're gonna make some TGJF heads explode. LOL

My dog would lose his mind if he was lucky enough to have a side car. He'd probably have a stroke with excitement.

Darksiding is a common practice on trikes and dedicated sidecar bikes. Since they don't lean, the typical tire profile doesn't matter. And the car tires last forever.

I know they're used on trikes. But I've never seen it on a sidecar. I suppose though I don't know anyone that rides only road. I couldn't imagine it on my Ural, but different strokes I guess..

Edit

I am aware of the Darkside. I know some tourers follow it, I've just never seen it on a sidecar.

This is Piper, she usually isn't allowed in the garage since she's still a pup and won't stay still. She slipped in one day when the back door was open, pick a spot and relaxed while I dinked around.

It's funny, this post was made a couple weeks after we brought home our little boy Tango. I was very reluctant to give in to getting a second dog but he has been a gift. Ever see A Dog's Purpose? It's real! This little boy is my old Chow reincarnate. The car doesn't run but it is no matter, he's in it. My old Chow raced away from my wife one day to get into my GTO. She drug his *** out through the passenger side and by the time she closed the door he was back in the seat looking out the window at her! This little guy is the same, loves to be in the car, moving or not.

Looks to be conducting a thorough inspection of your work and wondering when he can go for a ride.

Cute pup by the way.

Hard to get a good picture when it’s so bright out but Morgan decided to check the oil in the hot rod for me.

I'm very sad to say our old boy said goodbye to us last night. 13 years old, almost 10 of those years with us at his forever home after bouncing around as a pup. couldn't ask for a better pal to raise kids around. 07fb1926f2236a2e7f36be5fb6f3ddbe.jpg

Ah Jim, I HATE to hear this. What a good looking pal he was to you - I'm sure he was. Thanks for giving him a loving home after his having been shuttled around as a young dog. I'm certain he knew you saved him.

I'm sure she ran into something, my male has had cuts like that before and it's because he is always flat out and he runs into thing all the time! I thought two were a handful, three would be crazy! You have 3 good looking pups there!

I'm sorry to hear that Jim, it's always one of the hardest things to do is to say goodbye to one of your most loyal and trusting friends.
Best Regards, Randy

Yes.
Its a 175/55-17

I would never think of putting one on a street bike
But for the sidecar I said .... why not?

It works great.
Ive had it on there over a year and see no wear ...

I often “fly” the car and haven’t had any issues there either.

I think the tire was $47.00

This is our 9 month old pup...Dunkel! He loves the soft chair!

He sure has a friendly puppy face.

Like you, I would let my dog sit anywhere they want. They know who is their leader but they also know I will go the extra mile whenever I can for them. So far I've never had a dog that wasn't loyal and devoted as can be whether adopted or a puppy.

These are our two couch potatoes, I mean shop dogs. The blonde is Bella and the camo (brindle) one is Winnie. They both are retired racing greyhounds. These gentle creatures make exceptional pets. Clean, quiet and lazy!

^^^ I had a friend that had 3 retired Greyhounds over the years. He raved about how gentle and loving they were. His only other comment was, "Don't ever take them to a school yard and let them loose to run because they're sight hounds, will see something you probably can't and will be GONE in a heartbeat!"

Years ago I had a customer who had two 'second life' Greyhounds. One was missing an eye. Both were gentle and loving dogs. I'd watch them run outside in the half acre backyard and they looked like they were running so slow, but then you realize how much ground they covered in that short time.

Hmmm, now you guys have me thinking about my next dog. Only problem is that I like a dog who will stay and listen while off leash. Wonder if an adopted retired or throwaway race dog could be taught that, or if the breed in general could even be taught that.
