Here's my female chocolate lab Mocha :)

She's a bit bigger now, she's only 10 months old.... not quite calm enough to be allowed in the garage just yet.

Hutch recently and as a pup. He likes to sleep in the weirdest places or positions like on my Dad's lawnmower. He must be in the shop whenever me or the boy is out. Recently, he's decided that the invisible fence doesn't hurt that bad and chases us when we take off on the golf cart, 4 wheelers, go-cart, whatever.

Seems like everytime I sit down and relax the dog starts bringing me toys. And not just one toy. He'll drop his rope in my lap and wait a minute, then get his rings, etc etc.

I got him back by stacking all his toys I could find on him the other day. He just gave me a look of "why are you doing this?", then laid his head back down with a big sigh and slept there probably a good 2 hours like this.

Here's a few pics of the boss (Maggie) around the house and shop. I've had her for a little over a year and she's been a sweetheart. She's 3 years old, so still sort of a kid, but she's easy to train and a good pal. I took her with me on vacation last year, in the motor home. We were gone for 2-1/2 months, covered 23 states and had a blast. She sure likes the motor home and now anytime I open the door, she knocks me out of the way to get to her spot, because she doesn't want to miss out on another trip. If you notice, it didn't take her long to pick her spot and that's where she rode most of the vacation.

The garage build is in process (going to be starting a thread to show the progress soon!). But this is the the guard dog...

Cooper is his name. All Boxer - which means a lot of muscle, tons of energy, and a whole lot of excitement! Oh, and he thinks he is a lap dog - a 70 lb lap dog that is.

Protecting the back yard....

Waiting for the kong to be thrown...

All played out...

Mocha is a beauty. Labs are SO damned cute as puppies. My Sooner was a terrorist as a puppy. He'll be 7 years old on Labor Day but when I got him I started jokingly calling him Osooner bin Laden. He was innocent, friendly, etc unless you were a plant that happened to brush his coat. Then he'd chew it to the ground.

But take heart if she's doing that stuff. Sooner grew out of it completely and has become a great friend. He's as loyal as possible, he's gentle and SUPER intelligent.

Picked this guy up yesterday after a 7hr round trip drive. He's 9 weeks old. Dad was a yellow lab/shepherd and mom was a dalmation/blue tick **** hound. We are still considering names, but it will likely be Sullivan (Sully) for the rural PA county we got him from.DSC01207.jpg

Here is Jiles, my Parson Russell Terrier

77221318.jpg

Unfortunately he is no longer with me.

Here is the playful, seperation anxiety crazy Lily. Rescued from Los Angeles County, she had been poisoned twice as a puppy because she barked too much. She is almost one, I have had her for three months now and cant seem to get her to chill out. If anyone has some tips, please shoot me over a PM. Love her to death, there is no doubt about that.

Had a fence installed today so that my new shop is in the back yard, and made it so my dogs can come in when I am working. I laid down today to put a new ignition in my bike and wound up with one dog laying on me while the other was licking the side of my head while I was trying to work. This garage dog thing can be distracting.

OK first up we have Daisy Duke our 4 yr old blue healer(Australian cattle dog) who at the moment is expecting her first litter of pups, she does not like the shed much she does not like the noise(might have something to do with the incident involving the shed and a fire cracker).
doggies041.jpg

Next up we have Doobie, from the day we got him home 8mths ago he has been my right hand man in the shed, especially on the cold days when i light the pot belly stove.
He is not fussed by the noise of the shed what so ever he will sleep through me banging on the bench right beside him and the angle grinder does not bother him what so ever, but he does tend to run for cover if i start singing(checky little ******)

shed008.jpg

This is his usual possy sound asleep by the fire.

cheers...

Just thought i would update my previous post in this thread with the news that Daisy had her puppies 4 weeks ago after a rush trip to the vet for a c section i now have Daisy and Dooby plus 8 puppies to keep me company.
