Here’s my shop security team. They’re siblings and were born with bobbed tails. The brown and black is Bob and Storm is the little grey female. They will be 1 in July.

Wow, those are some unusual looking garage dogs!
(I like cats too. Hell, I like ALL animals even the dangerous ones as long as I don't get hunted by one. My SO is allergic to cats or I'd have one...or two...)

Reminds me of my dog the first time he saw a horse.

Our old border collie used to try and get the calves in the field next to the house to play by running backwards and forwards along the fence line. She used to love it when they all chased her.

She looks like a pup still. Has bees and butterflies to chase!
Shes about half the size of an adult German Shepherd now. Not sure how much bigger she's gonna grow as she'll be 8 months old on Sunday. Maybe a little bit more growth.
Butterflies are fair game. They're slower and do a lot less damage than catching a bee too.

Joey, 14 year old miniature poodle in the bed of my ‘55.

We adopted him & his sister, Sugar when they were 6. Their owner had gotten a terminal diagnosis and made his sister promise to keep them. She didn’t. Gave them to my B-I-L who left them outside all the time. NOT right for these little lap dogs. We took them both. Sugar passed due to a brain tumor several years ago. Both were/are very friendly and super devoted….to me!2B1CB8FD-A025-45C8-8967-426B12224CDF.jpeg

They know who their friends are! Bet you could not go anyplace in the house without your “shadows”.

My first GR/Lab mix did his best to be nearby all the time.
You're exactly right. He's near at hand at ALL times. All three are now. It didn't take the 2 adoptees long before they figured out who feeds them, pets them, talks with them.

So this is Max, we adopted him with Fifi (Post #4342) a couple months ago. We have our three granddaughters ages 4, 8 & 8 with us this week and they were playing with chalk on the back pool deck. Making drawings, etc. Max decided he LIKED the chalk so he rolled around in it for awhile!

I can't state how much he HATES being combed or bathed. I had to wash him in the garage sink and it was a literal fight. He was scrambling, clawing, trying to jump out while I'm hanging on with one hand on his collar and the other on the pullout faucet while still trying to soap him, scrub him, etc. A "dogfight". I won if you can call it that. I am as wet as he is!

Its funny how dogs love being in the sea, ponds, rivers and muddy puddles but try and wash one in a sink or bath and they hate it so much. :ROFLMAO:

Exactly!

He can't get enough personal attention. Petting, scratching, belly rubs, etc. But bring out a comb or brush and even when done lightly he scrams as fast as possible. I'm trying to periodically comb him lightly for like 10-15 seconds before he notices then stop so he gets used to it. I doubt I'll be successful but I'm trying.

My boy Jax is the same way. He will climb all over me and force me to pet him, scratch him, rub him, beat him, (kidding, I don't beat my dog!) anything for contact. I could sit there and pull his coat out by the fistful, and he would stand there and smile and wag his tail and mush on me to get more. He has a long coat that sometimes gets matted, and if I have a comb in my hand, he won't come within 30 feet of me and will sit over there and bark at me. Same for scissors to cut out the offending mats. Scissors are bad. Every time my wife leaves a pair of her craft scissors within reach, he steals them and chews the handles off of them. (It has happened more often than I would like to admit.)

A few months ago my wife and i are having dinner, she asks where’s the dog, haven’t seen him in hours, Sue enough he’s hanging out in the garage.
Now this is a TRUE garage dog. But dude, get him a fluffy garage bed. He deserves one and it needs to be in your way or it won't be where he really wants to be!
