We have 9 dogs. Largest is a sister pair of great Pyrenees. Three of the pugs follow me around a bit when I'm working outside. This is Bambi, a pure bred party Yorkshire terrier. Maybe 6 lbs wet. My wife personally took her from a puppy mill about 5 years ago (police and the pound were called by my wife). Vet guessed she was around 3 at the time. Wife named her Bambi because she spent her whole life in a small cage and didn't know how, and was afraid, to walk on grass and gravel. She would kind of "lope" like Bambi in the Disney movie. Didn't know how to interact with other dogs, play, or amuse herself with chew toys and treats. She is literally a second skin in the house, and a close shadow to me when I'm doing anything outside. Hands down the best dog I've ever had IMG_20220909_195119951.jpg

Thanks to you and your wife for saving this sweet little pooch girl and especially for rehabilitating her with care and affection enough to know what life CAN be with people that care about animals. Far FAR too many puppy mills and all the tragic circumstances that come with them.

My nephew and future niece were visiting last weekend. Which means, I watch their dog. He's a good little guy but doesn't come when called.
He doesn't like the garage so there was just a lot of this going on.

My little Shih Tzu "something" must be related to their doggie as you described her to a T.20161207_184721.jpg

Arlo the lab found a nice cow pat last night.
Luckily it wasn't too fresh.

My old border collie was very good, would come when called.....most of the time. You could have him outside and right with you, he would pick up his head, ears would go up, and in the time it takes you to think oh no, he was gone in a flash and would not recall.

He would come back green. Living in the country you likely know what he smelled like, swimming in some green pond and who knows what other fantastic sniffs he found to roll in.

I don't have a pic of my current pups in the shop, but I do have one of my old dog, she has crossed the rainbow bridge, I do miss you Recon you big goof.

Remington is still with me, but not a real fan of the shop. He likes his cushy ways.

My new big girl, willow, is still not too sure about the shop, so many new things. One thing we do know is she does not care for Federal 243.

Goofy girl just loves boxes.

Hey man, I have an Africa Twin and a dog named Remington, too. My Remi is a tri-color Aussie!

Try to live up to being the person he thinks you are!

Corgi life! That's what ours excel at too, professional nappers. My boy loves to sleep with his head in my hand. Usually has me in a bad position but he's happy as hell about it so I deal with a little discomfort. He's my main garage pup, our female doesn't like getting far from the recliner.

This is his "you ever going to finish this POS so we can go for a ride" look.

Found the little dog at the gas station Christmas Eve almost frozen to death. Less of a shop dog and more of a couch dog. Lol
Thanks for saving him. He KNOWS you saved him from severe conditions and I'm absolutely convinced dogs know and are grateful when they are saved. What's his name? Any idea how old he is or anything?

So when I picked her up I put her in the car and I said here’s that old dog you e always wanted. The vet then told us shes probably a year old lol. We found her at the Sunoco gas station so we named her Sunny.

No use of her rear legs? If so that is really a special thing you did! She's cute.

Love her name, very appropriate. She will be "sunny" in your home for any years to come.

I didn't pick up anything in your posts saying she can't walk. Is that true? I hope she's healthy whether walking or not!

She can walk and she’s in great health now. She was just in super bad shape then looked like she had been attacked by chickens and shot dozens of times with bb’s. Also had mange and heartworms

Gawd, that's awful. I can't believe how f%&#@ing terrible people can be. Makes me white hot angry.

Thanks again for saving her and letting her know not to fear all people.

This is some more recent pictures of my sweet girl Dixie. She is a purebred lab. Here she is in the basement as I fiddle with my tools she is doing one of her favorite things and chewing a peanut butter filled bone. She turned 5 in August. Everyday when I come home from work or come home from wherever she greets me specifically with a bear hug lol. Her paws on my shoulders. I love her. Some nights I just sit with her and pet her till she hates it lol. She also tries to pick up tools with her mouth but usually realizes they aren’t chew bones and puts them back down haha. She specifically always gets ahold of pliers lol. I remember when my parents surprised me with her when she was 15 weeks old. My mom’s coworkers husband had bought her without asking so she had to go lol. I’ll try and find some pictures of my old dog Rusty who was a lab shepherd mix. Loved that guy too grew up with him.
