That's a cool marking with the heraldry looking 'Aristocrat of Tools' shield! I would fill that up with my Herbrand tools (or those that would fit, anyway) in a heartbeat, regardless of their application.
Picked up these wartime Herbrand wrenches yesterday. Marked with the emergency alloy composition '8742'.
The first wartime Herbrand combos I've snagged.

DSCF2003 by wvwheaties, on FlickrI'm not 100% on the time frame, but I assume late 40s into the 50s. The bullet style selector on SnapMom's J9 speed ratchet supports that timeline.
I have the little J-10, and it is an absolute beauty.
Unfortunately, it works only in reverse. And it has no detent ball.
But still, it is sweet!
The earliest they appear would be 1950 as they aren't in the 49 catalog. I do have the 54 catalog and Snapmoms speeder is listed as a J9A so somewhere between 50 and 54 they made a change. The t-handle driver is also missing from the 49 catalog but is in the 54 catalog.

Wow minty and a bullet handle. That is impressive. As previously posted in this thread:

This particular Herbrand set was a bit of a mystery to me. I figured this was just a hodgepodge of 1/4" pieces, carburetor tools and a big wrench...
After a little research though, I was surprised find this as Herbrand's version of a carburetor tool set.
