I have one of the first Leatherman PST's
But no pics of it?
I'll try and remember to take a pic of my collection tonight![]()

If you want to see it, i'll try to find it. I recall I last used it at a Boy Scout camp (with my sons) in Idaho a few years ago.
Just keep in mind that the mark 1 wave is not compatible with the tool accessories. Finding this out first hand cost me $40. Still think both waves are awesome though....
I'd love to see some pictures of your early PST. Those hit the U.S. market in late 1983. A catalog called "Early Winters" was the earliest to advertise the tool for sale, followed soon after by Cabela's.
For anyone interested in it, you can see the what is purported to be the very first PST sold which is in the collection of Wolf Schulz-Tattenpach (Germany). He claims that he received it from Tim Leatherman in May 1983:

Is that a PST or a supertool?Given to me as gift a long time ago....
How do you like it? Anything yoy would change? Here is the one in my pocket every day. I'm lost without it.

It was getting expensive so I picked up a few of the sidekicks for ~$20 each last Christmas and haven't lost one yet. Go figure.
, I've have had the two original Leathermans for 30 years or so, I got the stainless steel original for Xmas in 1984 right after they first came out, my best friend gave me the black
