Dude, you are an ebay *****! :spit:

Oh yeah, there's a lot more i bought recently. Just don't have pics yet! I will soon!

Seriously, those black Snap On screwdrivers look sinister. Super nice...

Thanks.

For some reason they're not very popular. I really like them, more than chrome shanks. They don't turn up often, so when i came accross these, almost new, in the UK, i knew they had to be mine. Now they are!

Not a tool in the usual sense, but still very much an important addition to the shop. Guess what kind of veh. our dtr. bought for college?

Here is mine: 1/4 Armstrong Eliminator standard unit set.

Found a half inch set for sell on Ebay for roughly 40 bucks lower than retail. Waiting to see if it goes up. If it does not, I'll try to get it as well as I ran into a situation the other day that it would've been handy in.

Those all Black screwdrivers are pretty, I think I need to find a set of them.

As far as my own Ebay purchases last thing I bought was a bunch of Proto and Challenger wrenches 20+ for about $38 in November. Pretty good haul as it included a 22mm, 24mm, and 30mm all of which I figured I would never need but actually used when I changed the CV boot and Timing belt two weeks later.

Next time i come accross a set, i'll shoot you a PM. Dunno why they're not very popular. The finish doesn't wear off either, it really does last.

Wow, that's a steal! less than $2/wrench and up to the big sizes!

Got any pics? I like the look of Challenger wrenches.

The black is nice becuase unlike the chrome it doesn't chip which makes them good for working in industrial settings. Also on wrenches is nice becuase it makes them slightly grippier.

I'm headed to bed at them moment but i'll try to take some pictures for you tommorow evening.

Yep and already used it. Lots of things around the farm where access is tight. If I had the half inch set, I'd probably use it more than my regular ratchet or ratcheting combos. Hopefully I can pick up a 1/2 Eliminator set this weekend.

That's a very nice set you have there.

I was thinking about getting a 1/2" equivalent set for shock absorber strut nuts. Bought some open-side sockets though.

Latest purchase:

Snap-on brake Shoe Tools. Bought this for fitting belts though, never needed a tool like this for shoes. Even when doing big commercials.

My best deal recently was an 8 piece set of Snap On screwdrivers (new in package).
$55 shipping included, nobody else even bid on them. (Snap On website lists them at $123.25)

Other recent purchases include, Snap On long handle needle nose pliers, Proto 3/8" drive spin flex ratchet, Channel Lock micro champ needle nose pliers, and Blue Point hose clamp pliers.

Awesome deal on the screwdrivers! Are they hard or soft grip?

I like that ratchet, very nice. The tube is cool too!
And those pliers are very nice too, i haven't seen Snap-ons without red handles. Looks like a god haul!

The black screwdrivers, or any black tool is easier to lose than a brighter colored one.

I've never lost any of my tools. I know what i have and everything has a place. So if anything's missing i see straight away. Also, i use a tool cart with a tray on the side, so if the tool isn't in my hand it's in the tray. So i don't lose anything.

Snap-on is far more expensive in Australia, probably cost him a lot less than AU retail.

I just won this wrench tonight; I have no idea what kind of shape it's in though. These wrenches are scarce on eBay and I need one for the lines that go to the master cylinder. I had a chance to bid on some new ones back in December, but I waited too long and missed out on them. I kept thinking there'd be some more; and there was, but the seller eventually sold out of them. This is the first time I've ever bought a used tool; it's kind of scary. :eek2:

I like Elora Flar Nut Wrenches. They're a very tight fit, and if you round a fitting with an Elora wrench, you'd round it with a Snap-on. Most attactive thing about them to me was the quality and price.

I love them.

You'll soon find how addictive it is. I've got two 3-piece sets of Orange handled ratchets. One set is new and pristine, one is used, worn and marked. I get so pissed when i damage mark a new tool, that sometimes i buy used ones so they're already a little worn and i don't get pissed. Other than that, it's the price that does it for me!

Well, a new one is $36.75; so you have definitely saved some dough! The currently shipping model is a "B" revision here: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...9&group_ID=570&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog
Personally, I am a cheap skate so pretty much all my Snap-On tools are used and I kinda like the "pre-worn" look! Its kinda like a new pair of tennis shoes; that first dirty mark hurts, but with pre-worn that issue is already over! However, I do appreciate the beauty of your rollaway with all your shiny new tools!

Arrived today! Purchased off eBay about a month ago but had to wait for my brother to send with my quarterly shipment of French's mustard. Too expensive to ship alone! It's the 11 piece metric & AF flare nut spanner set. Will never need the AF sizes but the price was too good to resist. Next on my eBay shopping list is some Hansen socket holders & a 3/8 flex head ratchet.

Are you buying from Ebay USA and shipping over? Don't you get hammered on import duty if you do that?

I buy a lot off eBay US, i've never paid import duty for anything i've bought from there. I get packages marked as gifts, and under a certain value you don't pay import duty.

My friend in Georgia has a lot of my stuff waiting to be shipped, it'll be sent in a few smaller packages marked as gifts. If i have it all sent as once and have it insured the value will be about $1,000-$1,500 and i'll get screwed on import duty. (about $250.)

I've got the S/O flare wrenches.. the SK's have always looked suprisingly close in fit/finish I kinda wondered how they stacked up. I just haven't been able to bring myself to buy another set of flare wrenches though.

There's more..

Snap-on 1.5mm Ball-End Hex Driver. Going to buy the set when one turns up, this isn't included in the set and i paid like $10 for it.

In case you haven't already guessed it, i'm a big fan of the Snap-on hard handles!

Not tool-related, birthday present for a friend. Good deal, good shipping too. Need a North American power cord. :)

Oh, and i got some 3M Finesse-It car polish. Might have to buy myself a Ryobi polisher now. Damn, what a shame..

Damn Moose Is there like some kind of E-Bayaholics support group or something you can attend :) I have only ever just looked and NEVER bought or sold on e-bay due to a fear of getting screwed! I have seen a plethora of items I would have loved to bid on though.

I don't need a support group. I'm happy buying like this. All stuff i need for work. :)

well, sort of..

PayPal is your friend.

If they don't send it, you get your money back. Good buyer protection.

Of all the stuff i've bought off eBay, which is a lot, i've only ever had one problem. Which was a seller shipping something to the United States, instead of the United Kingdom. It turned up, just a couple weeks late. Feedback really is something good to go by, i always check it, i send messages about shipping and stuff when in doubt.

Not really a bad word to say about it. It's always worked well for me. :)
