Thats quite a journey Moose hope its worth the money.

I hope so too!

My sister lives in Leeds, so we're going to see her too. The journey won't be too bad, we're taking my dad's car and my mum's driving, so we'll probably be doing 90 up the M1 all the way! If you're on the M1 and a black MK. IV Golf tears past, good chance it'll be us!

We're going to Southend on Sunday for the other one!

very nice KRL

Thank You. :)

So is that the new stay at home box so you do not have to lug your other one home every night? :bounce:

They're both stay-at-home boxes now. Working from home these days, will be buying/fixing/selling cars from now on, so they'll only move when i find a shop to rent.

It looks nice mate, you've done well with that.

Thanks, Jon. I had a look at the back of the top box, it's a KR-637. I forgot to check the number on the bottom/middle. Gave it a quick clean up, it's in pretty good nick. Slides need to come out and get soaked in brake cleaner then regreased, but otherwise good.

Ha! You wish. I've been waiting for one for a couple years. And now i have one! :D

You ****:lol_hitti,
I bought a Montezuma to sit on mine but I'm still looking for one that matches my roller. I bolted the Montezuma on mine, it took like 2 secs to drill the Montezuma and about 30 secs to drill the Snap ON box. I couldn't believe the difference.

My first You ****!

I think the shipping from London to Maine would be a little too expensive. Plus the cost of the box. :D

I drilled my KRA when i bolted it all together and relocated the handle, that was pretty tough sheet metal tool. I need to drill another 8-10 holes to attach the new side locker. Haven't drilled the KR yet, that'll get 8 holes in the bottom to attach the two parts. Lucky i have German Dewalt bits and a Swiss Bosch drill at hand. :D

I was looking at a set of those on eBay.de, 23€. I'd buy them, but the seller wants something like 16€ to ship, so it's not worth it. Otherwise i'd buy them. Maybe i'll buy a few things from them, combined shipping. :D

you might also like this one...matches your wrenches... :)

Nice stuff, Hiball. BTW, I've been avoiding Ebay lately........I'm broke because I've been buying new junk off the Snap-on truck instead of old junk off of Ebay.:spit:

I can see how purchasing off the truck could do that to a man. I scored those 4 rats for $107 shipped, including that 17" 1/2 drive flex head which im sure retails for more than $100 bucks.

Ebay is evil, but oh so satisfying to browse while swilling the morning coffee.

This found me a week ago.

I had always wanted a drill press and I have a bike lift that I'm building that calls for one. It's a 12 speed belt driven 1/2HP Peerless unit made in 1975. There's no country of origin that I can find, so I'd be interested if anyone on here knows more.

It came with a crude workbench frame (huge, I think it used to be a fuel tank tower, see in BG), an 8 drawer Stanley toolbox, a small Taiwanese bench grinder, a Chinese bench linisher/sander and another large truck toolbox that will be turned into a little safe for my powertools. I've always been nervous about leaving an angle grinder in the same space as other things with padlocks on them so it is stored away from all discs and disc fittings. Once I modify the bench frame I'll weld it in so that all handy tools are not there for opportunists.

The real gem was the drill press though. It has had two repairs made to it. The work table housing has been welded at the back of the gear drive and the main spindle for the lowering lever has been brazed. It must have fallen over at some stage - but it was an ex-shire unit that probably went through an auction house or two in its time. The bearings are all good, and the main thing is that the plunge mechanism is solid and sound.

I spent 2 hours de-lousing it, cleaning things up with 800 grit paper, steel wool and kerosene and doing some minor panel beating.

Thanks. :)

I got them for $160, which i think is pretty good, considering they're all pretty much new. Much cheaper than i could ever get them here. Just need a T50 to complete the set. The long T20/25/30 will be good for VWs.

Now, before Hiball complains..

I've been wanting an auto-dark helmet for a while now, so I eBay(ed) myself the following hood. According to the add, it complies with the latest and greatest certifications so I bought.
