These all came out of my Dads garage after he passed away in July 11. He was meat cutter for the Kroger Company for 45 years. The Coke clock was in his meat dept, and they were going to throw it away and get a new one.....this was 1969. He decided it wasn't going in the trash. I had it restored a couple months ago. The Deer Clock represents that he was a Deer Cutter on the side. He did this in his garage for almost 30 years. The Saw Blade Clock was something I gave him for Chistmas in the 70's.
There was no way in Hell I was letting these get away from me. I miss you DAD!!!!!!!!

You sir have an amazing garage. My only question is... Are you not afraid of someone stealing that gas pump? Do you have it chained up. I am curious. I want to do this but my trust is limited now days!

I found this clock at an Atlantic city antique show over 25 years ago. It was issued to Chevy dealers around 1955. When I got it, the glass and neon were busted. I restored it and amazingly, the original clock mechanism still keeps accurate time. The dealers were supposed to put there name on the top part of the face but no one bothered to do this.

I didn't make it. But it seems to me the size of the sprocket and the length of chain should be pretty easy to figure out just using a standard clock motor.

The Firestone clock matches the tires on my '34 Ford.

Nothing fancy for mine either. I had to go with a cord one as all the humidity down here kept killing the battery powered ones. It is supposedly one of those that resets itself too. So far it seems to work over the last couple years.

I loved Yoo Hoo as a kid growing up in the northeast. Today my perfect meal pairing is a thick steak with bottle of cabernet sauvignon, but as a kid it was YooHoo and Kit Kats. Sadly, most people in the south have no idea what it is.

I use to love drinking YooHoo when I was a kid and I live in the south (Houston). They still sell it at all the gas stations and stores. I bought one about 2 months ago as a matter of fact... :rocker:

This clock was first hung in my Grandparents laundromat back in the late 50's/early 60's. When they sold the laundromat in the late 1970's, my Dad brought it home, and it hung in our home garage until they moved in 2000. My Dad then gave it to me to hang in my garage. I have wanted to have this clock since it hung in the laundromat. The top of it is a little melted and it needs the bugs cleaned out of it again, but it still lights up, and keeps perfect time! Not bad for a 50+ year old!!

Wow! 14 pages of cool stuff.

I am surprised I haven't seen one of these yet.

I have a similar one in the garage. I am just too lazy to actually go out and take a picture of it...

At motorcycle swap meets, I always look for side covers that have logos or names that can be made into clocks. Covers that are cracked or heavily scratched go pretty cheap. This cover had a hole tigged up that didn't turn out so good and I got it for five dollars.

I'm kinda on the lookout for a old IBM wall clock, since my dad worked there for 27 years. Some on eBay but prices have recently shot through the roof.

I posted this pic in a different thread recently, had no idea there was a particular "shop clock" place!!

:bounce: There's an "anything" thread on this site: "Let's See Your Garage Dust" (kidding).

But seriously, I've been here awhile now and I am surprised at all the topics that have ALREADY been covered. Trite saying but, The Serach button is your friend. Sometimes I do searches just to shop around for interesting topics to read/photos to see.

I've been meaning to add to this thread with this guy that was picked up at an estate sale recently. I believe it to be from the 30s or 40s.

Thanks Dan! Its far too easy to spend countless hours a day on this website, so many neat pictures and ideas! I'm sure my Snap-On dealer is thankful that I found this site as well!
