Free clock, then $5 or so for new bulbs. Not a fan of Buttwiper, er, Budweiser. Beer choice aside, I do kind of like the clock.

I got a homemade clock from a wooden plane prop. I was cruzing down the road and saw the end sticking out of a trash can. All weathered and worn on the ends. I slammed on the breaks and said,Oh no you won't that is going home with me. So I made a clock for the garage.

Here's mine. It's from the 1940's, keeps perfect time and stays lite up.
I think it cool!

Cheers!

Was perusing CL and spotted this Goodyear Coors light clock in the background of an add for a workbench for sale. Called the guy, it took a few back and forth texts but got the deal done. I tried to buy one from the wallyworld tire department (not coors light) manager with no deal but found this jewel. Hopefully I will get the Ford disk from PepBoys this week and change out the CL sign.

I'm adding a picture of my clock not because its a good looking clock but the story behind the clock. This clock(which I have had almost 16 years now) started out on the wall in the Napoleon Ohio post office sometime in 1999. It was a doomsday clock in a wall display counting down the time left in 1999. There was a big thing about computers crashing once the year 2000 hit(I don't remember all the details). I do not remember why we had the display or the clock. I asked the postmaster what was going to happen to the clock once 2000 set in. he said it was going to be thrown away. I asked for the clock. I almost destroyed the clock just trying to get it out of the display. Maybe, someone else here on the forum remembers one in a post office somewhere. it loses and gains an hour each year(You never know when though.) The neighbor likes the bright red light. She says she often checks what time it is in the evening by looking in my garage because the clock is easy to see and read.

When I was in my 20's, I bought my 1st house from a retired gentleman.

I wondered why he had so many thermometers (3) and clocks (4), in his house.

Now that I am retired, I think I have a better idea why.

My garage clocks.

Gift from my son. The clock, yes there's a clock ...

So, after 67 years, the clocks and thermometers just seem to accumulate. Oh, it helps to have them everywhere when you can't remember the time and/or temperature you just checked in the other room!:p

The Skil Saw Clock (in the upper middle of this picture) was in my fathers garage. Years before he passed we sat in a bar and wrote down on a napkin how we would build our "dream" garage. I saved the napkin and after he passed I went ahead and had the dream garage built. The clock is my favorite part of my garage!

I feel so inadequate now.

Never thought I would have clock envy...

I got this clock as a 10 year award at work. My wife said I could hang it anywhere I wanted.....as long as it was in the garage.

Inherited from wife's step father. Hurts the brain to look at, but a good addition to the garage.

Fixed it.

I like! If it doesn't appear as normal, you haven't drank enough beer yet! And if so, you're going to drink a whole bunch more beer because it seems earlier than it really is haha

Finally found the box I stashed my grandmother's kitchen clock in. I remember seeing it hanging on the wall when I was a boy.
Early 40's Westclox Belfast made in Canada. Still keeps perfect time.

Great old clock. Remember when kitchens had a recessed receptacle for the electric clock? CJDave.

Smedly, in case you didn't know that is called a barbershop clock. The barber could see the correct time in the mirror behind the chair. I made one for a friend a few years ago.

I just got these two old Lanthem timeclocks from work, both the same basic model. The green one is just for parts, the other one keeps time on the clock portion but has some issues stamping the correct time on the timecard, which I'll fix with parts from the green one. I also got the wall-mounted timecard rack and a whole stack of timecards.

I've been punching in on these timeclocks for 20 years, until they just upgraded to a new digital one. So I've definitely got some history with them.

Way cool especially having the connection to your job. CJDave.
