It seems like most people like the green but are scared to buy it thinking they wont like it later on. I love the hole along the back allowing for wiring to be ran. I mounted a power strip along the back wall inside the top today. I have my flashlight charger, cell phone charger and speakers/woofer all plugged up now. The woofer sits in the bottom of the cart. I got a rollin music box now. Gotta have something to keep me sane on those 13 and 14 hour days, music always helps. I have about a thousand songs in my iphone so i just plug it in and im in business.

Now i just need the bumpers for the corners.

SpiderGearsMan,

Has your 1985 Snap-on cart been modified? It looks too narrow, and the casters look like they came off a typewriter stand. Or is just the angle that the photo is taken from?

Pulled the trigger on this bad boy today. I really dig the color and it's my first non craftsman box so I'm stoked. It was damaged on the front so I got a $160 discount.

Looks like they have an issue with shipping green carts. Same cart, same damage on front delivered about a month ago. Got mine for $475 though ($340 off of the 815).

Wow that is identical. If i didnt know any better id say it was the same cart. Interesting. I love the box but the front part, above the top drawer seems a bit flimsy. When i press the key into the lock it gives a bit. Maybe its supposed to be that way but i expected better quality from snap on. I still love it though.

I have the shelf jacked up to the upper holes , but that is how they made them then , it's a good size

It's a Lista mobile cabinet with a ribbed rubber top. Has screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets and air tools.

All four casters can lock, and it moves around easily when the locks are off.

It slides back into a recess designed for it in the middle of a row of larger Lista cabinets in the background.

this has been my work box for the last couple years. I have been really happy with it. It will be replaced next mon by a KRL722. So it will be coming home and going up for sale.

I would love to have a folding side work station like that for my KRSC31. Too bad snap on site ***** about having pics and accessories.

A quick hello since this is my first post, also got a new box this week :)

Here's my KRSC46 compared to my old KRSC31 (I could be wrong on one or both of the model numbers)

The new box looks like a monolith compared to the old one, I'll snap some more pictures as I get it organized. And for anybody looking for wrench organizers, the Blue Point magnetic wrench racks are absolutely phenomenal, best I've seen yet and not terribly expensive. Here we go!

Psssh, that's called my rollaround **** table, not my rollcart. If I didn't have several projects going at once I wouldn't need mobile tools, but such is life.

Here is the start to my tool cart. It is a TV stand it's 30"x16" its solder but its very strong, its over 20 years old and has supported 100 lbs of books no problem. I plan on taking off that thin sheet back thing on it and will extend the top surface (make somewhat of a side shelf, hopefully so i can make it a foot wider) then put a prybar rack on the other side, maybe i'll even make a "lid" so i can open it up. It'll be a fun project even though i'm kinda in the middle of fixing my dads snowmobile. I have to mow a lawn tomorrow morning, then fantasy football draft in afternoon so my whole day is kinda shot :(

Here are a few shots of my Waterloo UC410 w/Waterloo TRX1606 side cab. This is from when I just received them and threw some tools into it, I'll update with the loaded pics soon. I apologize for the few pics that are sideways, for some reason they loaded into Photobucket that way.

This shot shows how I had to add some washers and use longer screws to allow the side cabinet to hang to leave clearance for the top to close and be able to leave the corner bumpers in place. I'll be adding corner protection to the side cab.

Some of the Gearwrench stuff I scored at NAPA/Sears, along with my father's NOS Williams stubbies.

The batteries for the Hitachi's are sitting in their chargers on the bench, hence not in picture.
WaterlooHitachi.jpg

I threw a bunch of pry bars in this drawer for the time being, until my prybar cabinet shows up. Note, the buffalo impact sockets were my fathers, so those are there for sentimental reasons, the Proto sockets on top are the ones to get used - still need to load the rest, which will fill the racks.

By moving the pads to the corners of the side cabinet you create another problem and that is the cover will not close. The cover has a lip the hangs down about a 1/2" and it is about 1/4" wide, so you need clearance for it, that is why the corner bumpers are relieved at their tops, to provide clearance for the top lid.

The other issue is the corner bumpers/guards are mounted via the bolts that hold the cart together, so if you move them to the side cabinet you would have to use some type of adhesive or screws, which either would mess up the surface of the side cab. I have some black cushion corner material similar to what Snap On used on the KRSC46, it does use double sided tape.

Grooveking, nice cart.

What kind of socket organizer are you using?

Thanks, the socket organizers are Ernst as are the wrench organizers. I have about another 150 sockets to load in. The 1/4" & 3/8" & 1/2" chromes will be in a drawer on Hansen organizers. There will be a drawer just for non-ratcheting wrenches also.

Here's my "go to" cart i use the majority of the time at work. It's an older Mac model where the drawers slide open by themselves all the time. Looking to get another service cart where the drawers have a better retention system.

I have that same Cart, it has been really good to me. It was a huge upgrade to the $40 Northern one i had lol. The flip up work space is a must when you have a lot of paper work to do like me.

The only complaint I have is that the top isn't deep enough to store sockets vertically, I'm actually thinking about getting the HF one as a replacement, I want a SO but can't justify $850 for a cart right now.

New member here. Thanks to this forum, I found the $99 coupon for the Harbor Freight black 4 drawer tool cart. Printed it out, went to my local HF and without a problem, walked out with this cart for $108. Built it in about two hours and I am satisfied with it. There are two minor problems I have: the last drawer is at a slight angle with the ball-bearing slides so it doesnt slide open/close as smoothly as I would like but its a minor inconvenience and the cart isn't perfectly level but for $108 OTD, you can't beat it.

There is a member on here who also bought this cart and has a LEXUS decal on his cart. Since I saw that picture, I had my mind set on the same cart and since I work for Lexus, I thought it was a great idea. I ordered my decal online today and hope to apply the same decal to my tool cart. It looks really nice ( Thanx for the idea, whoever it was who did that first".

A little about me: I am a T-TEN ( Toyota Technical Education Network ) apprentice technician at Lexus of Oxnard, studying Automotive Technology at Ventura College.

I have been a technician for two months now and before this cart, I had a two shelf open cart from Blue Point. It offered no security and little space so I had been looking for a better cart since I bought the old one used. I am extremely happy with my new cart.
<a href="http://s1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb370/lexustech1/?action=view&current=photo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb370/lexustech1/photo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This picture was taken after I lifted the top part onto the frame. I ended up taking the two bars which hold the lid up. Now I just let it hang, gives me more room to work.

I literally just finished building it and was so exited, I rushed online to post that pic.

I won't go into work until Tuesday but I'm gonna go into the shop tomorrow after school to take my tools off of my old cart and arrange them on this cart. When I do, I will post pics.
