Hahaha...not at all.
I just kept upgrading as the deals came along...
I use these carts as my toolbox.
I had just purchased a brand new Snap-on 40" wide toolbox in 2005 when our shop burned to the ground (December 26th, 2005).
...working near minimum wage jobs mostly and then for Wal-Mart combine with a poor marriage with a woman who hated my hobby (Mopar muscle cars) it has been an extremely LOOONGGG road of recovery.
The good news is that I have got back on track, found the perfect woman (for me) and my tool collection is about as complete as it needs to get.
After the fire (in early 2006) the Matco Tools rep sold me a literally brand new condition trade in MSC4R cart with side shelf for $375.00. I used that as my toolbox until 2012.
...in 2011 my dad opened his own shop finally so I moved my nice MSC4R out to the shop, and not long after saw one in good shape on C/L, which I picked up for $225! I used that at home in my personal garage with my spare tools.
Some time around 2007 my dad had received a Snap-on 3-drawer cart as a gift since the local rep had a truck load of them and they were $350.00.
Not long after the paint started coming off and the wheels rusted up. after about 3 years Snap-on finally gave him a new updated KRSC33PBO cart.
I was severely outgrowing my small Matco cart, so I started looking around and found my Snap-on KRSC40A for $550.00. I bought it and figured I would just add drawers as money allowed...
I always searched for used KRSC46's as I figured it'd be cheaper to get another one and make one with all 4" drawers and sell off the pirated one that then would have two 8" drawers and a 12" drawer. At any rate I never found one reasonable enough, and when I did they were a different color, of course.
Once my marriage was dissolving and since I now had the KRSC40A I sold off my spare Matco MSC4R to a buddy for $335.00.
Then sold the still mint Matco MSC4R (pictured) with side shelf for $425.00 on Craigslist.
My dad had wanted a full drawer tool cart also, so when my buddy mentioned wanting to upgrade to a box, I bought his yellow Cornwell cart off him for $425.00 as a gift for my father.
I then sold his nearly new Snap-on KRSC33PBO cart for $450.00!
So currently I am down to the green Snap-on KRSC46, red Snap-on KRSC40A (not sure if I'll sell it OR still try to find more drawers for it and give it to my dad & sell the Cornwell cart), and the yellow Cornwell carts.
I know that turned out to be wayyyy longer of a story than I thought it would be....lol
Not too mention how confusing it must be for everyone else to rear through...hahahaha
