Now that's a nice tool box! Started saving my cash for a nice box but that's nothing compared to yours! Very nice!

it will happen in no time... you'll be surprised how much and how fast you will accumulate tools

i had a similar sized box (craftsman) as yours when i was 14, but I certainly didn't have any cool tools like you have... snappy's would have been out of the question... i had tools from those crappy 159 etc piece kits and a few craftsman wrench sets.

6 years later... i have a krl top and bottom double bay and $35-40k in tools

see what will happen in 6 years

Recently, we hired a lube tech who showed up with his tools in two milk crates. Not judging, just saying.........he did quit after one day though.:D

When I was a maintenance tech at a bakery, we had a guy take a couple months off for a health problem. We hired a temp who showed up with his tools in a dog food bag. A few days later he had upgraded to milk crates.

I could use a 96 too, that would empty my SO/Mac and a few smaller box's. My AC bag CLC needs to stay portable for obvius reasons, same for 12DC, Plumbing and Computer tool box's. Fishing too, lol

mines just hanging there, i plan to drill a hole in the locker so that it lines up with the handle hole on the rollcab, this locker was not made to bolt up to the classic96 there is a proper locker for it but is way more $$$$, this one will hang and bolt up to the heritage series toolboxs.

Ok that helps me. I was looking into getting 2 of those lockers cuz there alot less money than the ones that are made for the classic boxes.

Impacts are brand new, just got them last month. Since I do not use them to often, I went with less expensive ones.

The chisel did not get hammer on by a metal hammer I always use a soft mallet, and are always clean. The tips show wear allot more.

There are some less expensive Taiwan made tools, but they are good quality. Think only one thing is made in china I think.

I took the mallet apart, And my wife put it back together. Since I got the erstwing. I never use that mallet anymore. So I have not spent the time to correct.

My wife is German, she is very neat, she cleans my tools when ever we use them. I do not use the cmans stuff that much anymore. Only really used the sockets I have on rails. Mostly Williams and proto stuff. But yeah my tools are very well maintain, and it keeps them looking new.

Ps there is a great tool cleaning solution in Germany, does a great job for cleaning. It is call soluwash's akachemie, spezial-reiniger. My wife use it on my tools after I used them.

My house is a very neat and clean place. This extends into my basement tool area.

Hawk321 who cares as long as the job can be done!!! There are a lot of big, small, cheap, expensive tool boxes and tools here, I just wish mine still looked like!

shoturtle, where did you buy that heli-coil plus kit at?

I picked it up at a motorcycle gear and accessory shop. It was like 26 dollars for the kit. I had to thread couple of holes on my BMW head cover as the mount holes had stripped, and this kit had all the sizes I needed.

piss poor pic, but I've been lurking around here a long time and thought I'd at least attempt to return this thread to the proper topic.

I'd love to add a locker at some point..but it's all paid for right now, and I'm restoring a car...and we all know how cheap that is I'm sure.

That cornwell is a sharp looking box. I've never seen one in person. How do you like it and how would you compare it to a comparable snap on box?

Compared to my buddies 84" Epiq...I like the SO drawer layout and variety alot better...too many slim drawers in mine. SO has a light switch in the hutch, mine are manual. And I've had to re-rivet a few drawer releases. Probably several other small details like that I'm forgetting. There again, he's got the hutch and the attic, and it was 10K more than mine retailed for or so, so I'll deal with it.

Picked up all 3 pieces of mine cash money and the cab and cart were repo's, and I've only got 8K in the whole setup, so I'm not complaining. If having to pay similarly, I'd take a SO all day long.

Yeah, it's a 2 piece door that closes the hutch (again, I prefer SO's door). The upper piece flips up as you can see. The lower part hinges and opens into the hutch similar to SO. You can see the hinges in the pic, hard to see the actual door. I guess the only real disadvantage to this setup is I can't have an attic box like my buddies Epiq which I'd absolutely LOVE to have. I have entirely too much ****. 84" cab, 30" deep...and I feel like I need at least that much more sometimes...
