The socket trays from Harbor Freight are much less expensive, often on sale, and you can use a 20% coupon on them.

Post 8495 by Oxjaw has the Harbor Freight trays which show the socket sizes like the Hansens.

The HF ones are nice, I've had them about eight months now and havent had any problems with them. Plus I like that you put the socket on with the open end up instead of the drive end up.

If it is not too much to ask could I get the dimensions of this toolbox? Height, depth and width please? I have outgrown the one in my trailer and this looks like it just may be a step up in size. I though I saw an earlier picture that showed this to be a Snap-On box, could I also get the model/part number?

Thank you.

Mike.

Em everything besides the ratchet wrenches stay in place just need a rack for those . . the box itself has wood around and doesnt budge . . Have more tools out of the box like 33-60 wrenchs, 1" socket set, 36" pry bar etc. . What you guys think ? Need another/better way to store my sockets in top compartment any ideas ?

Thats for rivets get good torque out of unlike those ones you can do with one hand. .

I can take dimension of anything you need but most are up on the SO website . .Just shout if you need them

Never realized tool boxes came in so many great color combo's!
Thanks to all for taking the time to post pictures of them!

So i have been busy going through this entire thread, took some doing but i finally made it! Here is my first real tool box, i wanted something mobile but still had some room to grow. Nothing in my price range was close so i made my own, kinda. Still have a lot of tinkering to do but that's half the fun right?

Very cool Paigej, looks like its made to be that way. I had thought of just hanging a side cabinet on mine but ended up just getting a side shelf instead. Does your lid shut with that on there?

You'll have to check out the HF tool cart modification thread if you haven't yet, some pretty cool ideas in there to..

I really like this design, especially the 'undercarriage'. Very cool.

Great job on the cart! Planning on picking one up next month. Might have to steal your design after I run out of space :D

Excellent job, that's really impressive and looks like a very nice arrangement. If it were mine the only thing I would add is a hang-on prybar/long screwdriver rack like this one.

Paigej, thank you for posting that. I have been tossing that idea around for sometime but seeing it together looks like it is meant to be.

it is nice but if you look close, the cart is about 2 inches taller and deeper than the side box. so basically i'm hiding that with 2x2 angle on the bottom and i put the faces of both boxes flush in front. the drawers on the side box aren't as deep as the cart, and they also don't have the slide latches. it takes a little getting used to, but i still like it!

I recently traded in my black krl722 that was only 8 months old for a new candy apple red krl1022. The 722 just didn't have the amount of space I needed. I got full trade in value for the 722 and added 1k for the 1022.

Wow, nothing compared to the triple bay's that are on here but I'm rennovating my garage to add another bay and at the same time am refurbing some tool boxes in to a work station with a 1/4" shop table I can use for welding. I wanted to buy some "extreme green" Snap on cart but didn't like the drawer setups on the Snap ons. I like little drawers for some things like the old boxes had, and I like long drawers for some things, and wide drawers for some things. Long story short, I couldn't find exactly what I want new, so I am going old and am going to sand them down either refurbish or replace the slides (on the long drawers I'll probably double up the slides as I did in my last box refurb). I'm looking for a good deal on a top cabinet from a double bay still (matco mb4225tc preferred) if anyone knows of one.

After searching for years, I finally found THE ONE. Repainted the drawer fronts and in the process of all new slides. My S/O guy didnt believe it was a S/O box. Room hasnt been an issue, just an excuse to buy more tools!
