Man I hate the VT365s! Had two in the shop in the last two months. Both non starts. Ended up narrowing it down to being the fuel/PS pump. And then got the new one back on and still no start. Took the brand new fuel pump back off and found a seal in 3 pieces inside the pump:mad:

Then the other no start ended up being a previous tech who doesn't work there anymore changed #2 injector but pinched the seal going in so so it was passing combustion gasses past the injector.

We have over 300 busses in our fleet. 444e's, VT365's, Maxxforce, DT466, 5.9's, ISB 6.7's, ford and GM vans. Lots to keep us going!

Yeah we got about 65 buses and 20 caravans. And we have a lot of egr coolers and ipr value problems on the vt's and alsos changing injectors . The old t444 we have are bullet proof. And the maxxforces been good also. I guess next year you can get the cummins 6.7 in The IC buses but we are holding off on those because of the DEF but I herd the maxxforces in 2015 have DEF also. The ic buses Arnt built like the old blue birds that's forsure.

We've had major problems with DEF in our new C2 Freightliners. Our busses do a mainly in city routes so not much highway miles so we get a lot of derates. This winter a lot of them have had the suction line from the tank to the pump break off right at the fitting. Also doesn't help when drivers fill up the DEF tanks with diesel :dunno:

Ahh man that ***** we do Ll the def filling in the shop drivers aren't aloud

Oh we do too. When they are at the filling station I guess they just see DIESEL exhaust fluid and fill it up. Maybe they think its a reserve tank:lol_hitti The giveaway is when you look in the logbook and see 120ltrs + 20ltrs:lol_hitti

A few weeks agoe I saw this Craftsman Profesional 32" box listed on Craigslist for 200 bucks. After some slow emails I got it last weekend. The guy hadn't opened the box for a while so the first thing we see in the top drawer was a mouse nest and a tail scurry down to the next one. We chased it all the way down like that n had to pull the bottom drawer out to evicte the little guy lol. Cleaned the mess out and loaded her up

The box is nice, it's a lot better quality than my other craftsman griplatch box. Good heavy construction, no slop in the drawers and handles the weight. I'm really happy with it, now I just have to get use to the new tool layout. "Are the air tools in the 3rd or 4th drawer" :)

Yeah we had a vt no start this week had no oil pressure so we thought the nut on high pressure oil pump mayb backed off or the o ring came out , we had happen befor. But it ended up being the high pressure oil pump was gone on it. The bus dealer here in Ontario "Leeds" said it was the first time they herd of a high pressure oil pump going on a vt .

Ha yeah right i've seen lots of them both on VT365s and ford 6ltrs. Theres a good test you can do to see if that HPOP is leaking as it seems to be a common failure point at the branch tube fitting where that nut is. You can get an adapter that screws into the where the ICP valve goes and you hook your airline up and listen for leaks.

If the drawer layout was better i'd be a lot happier as there's a lot of wasted space but it was $700 new so couldn't go wrong! Yeah the locker comes in quite handy!

I originally come from and still work in a place called "Leeds" in the UK, I googled "Leeds Ontario" and it takes it name from my home city.

Got any pics of what it's like?

We have have a few "claims to fame" if your interested :)

I just reorganized my entire toolbox around, let me know what you guys think. FYI, i clean my tools off every time before they go back into the toolbox. My tools do get used i just take care of them. The bottom 2 drawers of the bottom box are mostly filled with extra tools/junk.

Ill also throw this in, this is my current project. A 76' 350 small block awaiting a new cam, rings, rocker arms, edelbrock air gap intake, long tubes, edelbrock 4 barrel carb and a fresh coat of chevy orange
It is getting bolted to a turbo400 and being dropped into an s10. :3gears:

When I am done that project I am moving on to my 5.3 LS swap into a gmt400.

Not too bad for 17 if I do say so myself, especially for not being funded by my parents. I can proudly say that at least 80% of my tools were bought by myself and the rest were gifted to me on christmas/ birthdays. I am working as a heavy equipment technician through my highschool right now and most of what I earn goes towards my tools and my passion. I loo forward to having something similar to the snap-on setups that some of you guys have,

I like that setup.

I thought it was one of the cheap Husky boxes for a second, but it's wider has more drawers, and looks like it can actually hold tools without collapsing on itself.:D

Young buck, what's the deminsions of that box. Also that 350 looks awfully familiar, like maybe I seen it on a Facebook page today. Lol. Hope one of us wins.

It is 56" wide x 18" deep x 34.5" tall, and if you have been on the sloppy mechanics public page then you have probably seen it posted a few times

Yeah it is, that's why I went for it. The slides could be a little better but it's a heavy box and it's got the full length drawer I've been wanting for a while

I think something is wrong with your truck. it is full of " white stuff " what is that ? we don't get that here in the 619:dunno: you should turn that 350 into a 383 stroker JMO. BTW - nice tool box !

Haha here in Canada we call that white stuff "snow", I have been knocking the idea of stroking the 350 around quite a bit actually, and it's already been bored .030 over so it's already a prime candidate. I got the safety wire pliers for under $10 at a yard sale, I figured I might as well get them for that price even if they never get used
