That's amazing, you might be a contender for oldest tool box in service in a professional setting.

Got some lights set up finally! I was having trouble finding a way to rout wires so they didn't hang down when I opened the door, but were long enough to reach the door when closed (and didn't pull the wires loose or lights off), so I mounted them to the ceiling! As I open the door, it pulls them above the door, and viola! no wires!

OK ... you see how on yours the hutch sits directly on the roll cab with the work top INSIDE the hutch? That's how Matco does theirs and I think it looks better. Snap-on puts their hutch on top of the work top; it don't look right.

I like it too, I like how the chrome rail thing goes top to bottom, but on Snap On's, it's broken up by the stainless top, and it's set back and not flush with the front of the roll cab. Plus, you can see the screws inside of the hutch on the Snap on! Ugh!

Wow for the money I don't think you can beat that setup. Also I noticed your box in the review pictures of the box listed on strictlytoolboxes website.

Not my home box but here's my new truck setup. Took a 4 drawer craftsman rally box and mounted it inside my truck toolbox. I'm really happy with the outcome. I took about a year to piece together a second set of tools hitting sales.

Do you have any pics of how you mounted the Cman box inside of the truck box or overall pics of the installation?

You sir have a real mans toolbox!
There's just something about seeing an older box crammed to the gills with quality dirty tools that just make them seem even better. Very nice Dan
By the way....dewalt makes the impacts for MAC?

Gorgeous box. How do you like it? I think I might buy one for my garage. I need more room. My matco is packed. Sell that and buy that exact one with the hutch.

DeWalt and Mac are both owned by Stanley and I think it was a smart move to couple the two. For years Macs cordless tools were cheap junk with a tool truck price. While specs are different between the two, batteries interchange. I dropped the impact from about 2' and the original battery shattered. Didn't take much effort to get the Mac guy to warranty it. He had a DeWalt battery on hand so that's what he gave me.

I like it a lot. My only real complaint is that the drawer slides are a little stiff, but I think they're loosening up. The more commonly used drawers are sliding easier than the others. Other than that, I'm in love with it. Ample storage and height. The shelf is a great place to put all of my stupid stuff, but I wish I could put more useful stuff there!

How much do you have into the box?

I don't understand some of your dealers. I have less then that in an epiq with power top.

I've been thinking about selling it off that's why I was asking

Well, retail on the Classic 96 is currently 6100ish, I'm not sure what it was 4 years ago when I bought it. I think it was about 5600 or 5800. He gave me a good trade on my old box, a KRL from before they were 29" deep (it was like a 2001 that had a hard life, basically a Classic 78 with chrome). I bought it for $1300 5 years before that, and he gave me $3600, so I was into that '96 for less than $4000.

Just for fun, I uploaded a few old toolbox pictures!

The day I bought the Classic 96:

The day I bought the 54" KRL. Yes, it's purple:

My first toolbox professionally (though this is at home after buying the purple 54"). Wish I had kept it, it would be awesome to have at home now! Chalk that one up to being a young dumb kid.

Thought I'd show my main work box. Remember that I'm a hobbyist and tool collector so you won't see tools packed in like sardines in my user box. Besides, I have 20 + other boxes full of old tools. Some of you may remember my main box, snagged with a KRA double bank and Taco cart for $1500.

Cost you about 25k?
Not quite, but close. I'm trading in a triple bank krl that's about a year old with hutch and side locker. I'll owe under 15k when this deal is done. The krl set was paid for. Also 6 months no interest .

I dont know what retail is but Sounds like a good deal. I priced one with hutch topbox and 2 lockers. Would have been I think 28k. He said 20 with my box trade in

I have no use for that. But you know :D

Thank you! And at first I was skeptical about it as it might be hard to write on, etc. but it actually is really nice. They did a good job on this color/top
