Okay so here's mine at work, just got it about a week ago. It was an old electrical cabinet sitting in our boneyard and I was in desperate need of a food grade tool cabinet for storage. Found this sucker and had our fabrication shop put in some shelving. I'll try to get some more, better pictures if anyone cares to see the inside.

Must be able to handle caustic, acid, and be 100% sterilized/sanatized. Free from rusting and oxidation. It is in the middle of a beverage processing plant.

Nobody in maintenance had to have a food grade tool box when I worked in a bakery. Just the usual assortment of cmans and kennedys.

Problem is, I'm not maintenance, I work for Recipe and Development. Additionally, the maintenance tool boxes / shop are detached from the "clean" areas (Clean areas are hair nets, salt mats, safety glasses, etc. just one step below a sterile room). My tool cabinet is in the middle of the processing area, I.E. the pasteurizing room of the beverages, so I had to have food grade stainless on the exterior, and I have to sanitize it once a week. Meaning, pull all the tools, foam sanitize, let it dry, put all the tools back. Additionally, cost was labor only for this unit. All the shelving and forklift trays where scrap metal.

so do you have sanitized tools too ?? strange to me (not that i understand it) that the cabinet has to be sanitized but not the tools.

Tools do as well, they get alcohol rub downs to keep them free from any extra grease / dirt.

No need to really, I'm the processing guy (i.e. blue collar guy) for a bunch of scientist.

Picked up this vintage Craftsman tool chest in pretty good shape today. This is after a very light cleaning and a little straightening. Pretty neat design with full front cover that folds away up above the drawers. I'm guessing this was made around 1950 -- anybody have a better idea when it was made?

Only repairs needed are to a couple of drawer slides. Anybody know if it's possible to get new ones? I'm inclined to just try to straighten the mangled ones and make them work, if possible.

Not sure whether I'm just going to clean and use it as-is, or whether I will repaint it. Would that be sacrilege, or is there enough rust on this to justify it?

Cool! Never seen one like that before! :)

Here's my Mac. The other day I added an extra set of casters, the side cab, prybar/screwdriver holder, and the bookcase top

I'm really excited to finally have this box set up enough to post pictures of! I picked it up used a little over a month ago. I added the 1 1/2" maple butcher block top from Mac and the 4 1/2" Craftsman Pro vise last week.

The top is bolted down with four 3/8"x1 1/4" lag screws in the middle and three 1/2"x1 1/2" lag screws in three of the corners.

The vise is on 16ga. steel (top and bottom) and bolted down on the rear with two 1/2"x3 1/2" bolts and on the front with two 1/2"x1 1/2" lag screws. Due to the construction of the box, there was no way to run nuts from the bottom. I wish I would have had the capability to cut and weld nuts right underneath the top plate, but oh well. This should hold plenty fine.

And one of my favorite drawers:

Just so I don't take up too much room, I'll post the rest of the pictures as attachments.

The 56" US General I picked up on Monday. Been making/working on the hutch this week.

This is how it sits as of now. Still working on it.

That is a nice looking box, Does the hutch open from both sides on it? and a where are the content pictures :bounce:

The top is always open like that, its meant to be more like a bookcase. Its quite a bit cheaper than an actual hutch so I thought I'd try it out. As for the content pictures, I need to organize a bit this week, I'll try to get them up soon.
