Yep Jim! Got my first pair of 420s as a lad! My uncle was a plumber so I caught on to
Channellock quickly. The majority of the others are from the last year or 2.
Outlaw, I have two other drawers in the box but they are full of parts haha. Notice the three new Vaughan hammers?

After lusting after some of the boxes on this thread I finally put a camera in my hand today while I cleaned up the roadbox a bit and shot these.

Newbie here.....

Looking for top ideas.. Saw a couple hundred pages back where someone used what looked like Corian and we've all seen the SS and BB tops but what else works?? Its going on a 41" Craftsman with a 8" wide six drawer mini cab.

Somewhat depends on what you do/what you want out of it:

besides the SS Butcher block, and Corian you mentioned: Plywood, Hardwood faced ply, Hardboard/masonite, Formica, Aluminum plate, Steel Plate, conveyor belting, rubber walkway mats, Yoga mats, I'll bet Granite or marble would be cool in the right environment, I've seen carpeting used... :dunno:

nice Sidchrome ratchets

The 1/2 & 3/8 are Sidchcome the 1/4 is Kincrome.
I do have a fair bit of Sidchrome stuff but now I only buy the pre 90`s tools. Since they were taken over by the Stanley group in 1990 or 91 its been a downhill slide for them.

mismatched boxes
mismatched set of everything
looks like they've all been used.

nice to see that someone actually uses their tools. :lol_hitti

Yep, never been one for colour co-ordinating.
and they do get used.

I love that Toledo adjustable wrench since that is where I went to college! :)

Seeing as you like Toledo so much.

certainly jealous of some of these setups, but i just cant pull the trigger on a double bay box, my mac box holds everything i have, which is quite a bit. Of course, for different hobbies, different jobs the toolbox you choose will depend on that of course. As a diesel mechanic, i relly like the looks of a double bay and that all that space on top of the box gives you a place to work. I think ill just buy a service cart instead of another toolbox right now. Iv got more than i need

Prime32, is that considered a lista toolbox or a regular cabinet? Very nice

I am honestly not sure. I got it for 400 and it never had a tool in it. My buddy got 2. The other one has the typical lock on each drawer and was considered a tool box, and he got this to go on top of it. I am not sure if they classify this as a tool box or cabinet, but I can tell you the ONLY difference is the drawer locks. I would like to know if this is a box or cabinet if any of you guys know!!!

The old school trick to cleaning up the edges after painting pressed designs-

Take a lint free cloth, and a stiff block or wooden block. Wrap the cloth around the block like you're gonna block sand something with it. Spray some laquer thinner (or whatever solvent will gently remove the paint applied), and slowly block the pressing. Don't use too much solvent, and several light blocking sessions are better than one hard one.
The good thing about this process is that, when painting, you don't have to give a **** if you paint outside of the lines.

Good idea with the block and cloth, I used a razor blade but it could be a little cleaner

Here is my collection. It took Sears about a month to get the box to me. I even called Waterloo to check on it. I'm extremely happy with it, but I need more room.

This is my baby at work. The top cabinets, left cabinet and the tool cart top are all custom. The tool cart top folds up and locks into a box.
