Where did you get the ear muff and safety glasses storage boxes hanging on the side? How do they attach? I need some of those for our cabless tractors on the farm, so the ear muffs don't keep wondering off.

Purchased tthem from griots garage, there attached with high strenght magnets at the moment

My cart....
I didnt have my pry bars or a few other things in it yet. But Just the basic stuf, and a few diag stuff in there.

Then i have box for special stuff, and most of diag stuff.

A few of the Box its self

Spoolin' Twin-charged Spec V? I noticed your in KC too? Nice box setup. Looks like your cart is at a shop where do you work? Ever make it to any of the KC NICO meets? Greetings to a fellow KC Nissan Garage journal geek :)

HF Lower chest, laminate kitchen counter on top of it. Just enough clearance to roll the chest out to clean under it. Craftsman wall-mount shop vac on the right.

HF Hanson-knockoff's. Love them, easy to organize and grab the size you need. Lots of sizes I think I need, and 1/2'' deep sockets.

Hacked up Craftsman screwdriver trays. Handles and lower base cut off.

Two Sort-a-Wrench trays. Gearwrench's on the left, Standard Craftsman wrenches on the right. The trays show all of the sizes I need/want/need/want

Hey now thats a good idea.... I might have to hack up some of those trays. They work well except with the "carry handles" and bottom pieces it makes them too big and kind of a PITA to get drivers out of when you need them. Thanks for the idea!

yeah... i am willing to work at Dodge where lot of big trucks go...(Rams) i am love to fix all Dodge Rams but i am really want to work on Diesel trucks as it is easy and simple to do... see how can GM or Ford pay to fix Turbocharger like 2 or more hours to replacement while Dodge only pay one hour to replacement it. it is so easy.
I never stopped working , my dealer owns 11 different brands , 10 techs at the chrysler/plymouth/jeep dealer , they are hiring more guys , due to dodge dealer going out and we are picking up the dodge dealer . I was the only A tech from pontiac/gmc the company retained , due to my lack of whining , integrity and that I have been a diesel tech for 24 years , I am lost at chrysler though , and they do not pay good flat rate hours , since they are basically on life support , propped up by the united states taxpayer
GM closing 4 truck plants is chilling - sick sad times we are in

At least they are adding 3rd shifts to most of there car plants, granted it wont make up for all of the damage done but maybe if they can start designing and producing more cars with 30+ mpg that are quality and open up new plants or refit some of the closed plants

Wow, that sounds like you got a once in a lifetime deal; was a fellow tech getting out of the biz or desperate for cash? Looks almost new!

Hey, do you enjoy to use your KRL1003?? i just got used KRL1003 to put my 450 dollars KRL1203 chest on it like one month ago. it is great box but it seem like very old like 12 years old... but it still strong and i has lot of tools to put it in without the problems. i had my snap on guy to warranty almost all drawers' roller slides because old one are very rough (it had lot of dirty on it and i tried to clean but rollers are rough.. so well i am still use it at Chrysler Dealership.

Hey, do you enjoy to use your KRL1003??

When I bought the box, it was one of the largest available. It is definitely heavy and well made. I would consider it a "Lifetime Achievement Award" as boxes go.

Now for the reality or the bad as it goes...

If you are trading up with Snap-On, you can expect full value if not more for your trade in. If trading in another brand, even a Craftsman box, you can expect as much or more than what you paid towards that nicer box.

When you hit the top of the ladder, what do you think you could get out of your investment? Turns out it isn't an investment at all. You'd be lucky to get half what you paid. Actually, you'd probably get less than that.

Snap-On, in my opinion, is definitely the very best. Worth the money?

There are serviceable options at more affordable prices, even for the professional.

My humble top box. Bought it 2 months ago and its already dangerously close to full (coming from a 4 drawer rally box)

Then my dads toolboxes that mean I don't have to worry about owning lots of tools until I get out of school.

Hey there all. New to the forum. Thought this thread would be a good place to introduce myself. I am a heavy equipment mechanic in training with a love for tools. Here is my box and just a couple of the drawers (Sorry about the quality, these were taken with my phone.) There is plenty of room to grow being that I just moved in from a Craftsman box. I still need a few more larger wrenches (my largest so far is 1 5/8), a whole set of 3/4" drive sockets and tools, and maybe even some select 1" stuff. Big stuff gets really expensive ,plus the guys I work with are generous enough to let me borrow their tools when I need them, so I will probably hold off for a long while. At least until I am done with school and working full-time. Too bad the school discounts don't cover the big stuff.

Nice toolbox Cat_serviceman, I have the same one in my garage and they are nice. Where did you go to school to be a heavy equipment mechanic? I know what you mean, the bigger stuff does get expensive quick. I highly recommend getting a set of angle wrenches for hydraulic lines and air lines, you will be glad you did.

Thanks for the interest and reply. I go to Owens College in Toledo, OH. As for the angle wrenches, I have a Snap-On set in there; 3/8-1 1/4. I need some bigger ones but I am trying to pay off the box before I get more tools.
