Nice toolbox Cat_serviceman, I have the same one in my garage and they are nice. Where did you go to school to be a heavy equipment mechanic? I know what you mean, the bigger stuff does get expensive quick. I highly recommend getting a set of angle wrenches for hydraulic lines and air lines, you will be glad you did.

x2

Oh, and speed bump... those are the BIGGEST PICTURES EVAR! :shocking:

Okay, I'm a new member so I'll throw in my contribution. Just your basic Craftsman Ball-Bearing Griplatch set -- purchased at very good prices thanks to the Craftsman Club.

More photos of the finished garage posted in the Garage Gallery.

Nytehawk, I have that exact same box, but without the middle. Do some of your drawer's Griplatch latch better than others?

Thanks guys for the compliments. The garage itself was a gradual project from July 2005 - August 2006. And of course like any good project it's never truly complete... :)

Shots of the interior, please, nytehawk!

Gladly! Photos of the finished interior are posted in my thread in the Garage Gallery: (click the following link)

I actually bought the middle section first and placed it on a set of shelves for several months before purchasing the top and bottom on sale as a set. And yes, some of my drawers latch better than others. You can adjust them a little but they aren't perfect no matter what you do. (I believe the Craftsman owner's manual shows you how to adjust, but it's moderately easy to figure out -- just a little gentle bending.)

One custom modification I've made recently is to purchase six additional ball bearing drawer slides (3 left, 3 right) from Sears Parts. Now all three of the deep drawers in the bottom section (two 4" deep and one 6" deep if I recall correctly) have double slides for greater weight capacity.

Its a KRL series snap on, it was a very fair price.

I really like the allen screw drivers, The tips are the most accurate i have ever had, I measured them with my caliper and they are right on the money, As for the husky Air tools they are just ok, But good enough for the work i do, I repair Industrial Electronics for www.plccenter.com

I work in a factory mainly on punch presses, my main box travels through the whole plant, goes where I go

This is my Main Work Tool Box

This box used to be under the Red Chest on my main Bench, When I found the Middle chest for my Craftsman Pro box I moved it

Those Bondhus drivers you have are extremely comfortable; I tried some in the hardware store. I wish wish they (Bondhus) would make straight slot and Phillips screwdrivers with those handles.

Those are small screwdriver sets in metal cases; they have regular, torx, phillips and hooks! Here are some on ebay!

By the way, how do you like your Craftsman Pro box? Pretty heavy duty, ball bearing; pretty heavy?

I love theese sets and i am trying to collect all of the colors that snappy made in the mini screw driver sets, I am currently the high bidder on that set right now

Where can you buy these? They do look nice!

I got them from my snap-on dealor, I kept asking him when the Snap-On hex Screwdrivers were going to come out because the old ones were discontinued, And when the 1000 catalog came out and there was no hex screwdrivers in there i had no other choice to go to another manufacturer

I have the 4 piece hook/pick set from Snap on, Love them.

For the way that I use the roll-a-way it is the best box for me. I will never have another box that does not have latches on the drawers to keep them from opening while you are moving the box around. Before this on I had the Craftsman Industrial 46" box, pre-griplatch. It had the wide top drawer like the current ones do, I had all of my regularly used tools in there, standard wrenches to 1-1/4", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", & 3/4" Drive Sockets, Screwdrivers you name it, but after the 4th set of drawer slides in that wide drawer I set traded down to the 36" box that I have now. Been debating on adding the side box to it, Need to keep the top open to work from, I have a Pipe Yoke vise to mount to the top, been thinking about swaping out the 1/4" steel plate that I have on the top for a 1/2" thick one and putting a regular Vise on it.

I need to get the bulls eye off of it, it got hit by careless fork truck drivers twice last week (which is the reason I will never buy a snap-on or MAC box for work).

Yep, a guy I work with gave me just the head, and I'm gonna go to the flea market tomorrow to try and find a handle. (There is a guy there that sells rehandled hammers)

Hey, I think for 17 you are doing awesome; my tool selection at that age was probably not half or even a quarter of what you have. Your tool choices look good too and will serve you well for the rest of your life; just get rid of those standard Craftsman ratchets! LOL! Sell them and get some used Snapon for your "go to" ratchets! Good job! Congrats!

Screw that... USE the Snap Ons. If you abuse the Cmans and they give way, you could get really hurt! Abuse the Snap Ons... the way I see it, if they are so great then they should be able to put up with whatever is thrown at them.

Replace the Craftsman ratchets that you have with either the thin pro line, the old school, catalog only roundheads (with the built in spinner), and/or breaker bars!

The only reason to keep those, is loaners, IMHO.

I finally got my camera working to upload pics, here are a few pics of my box at home. These were taken a while back and I have added to it since then and cleaned my toolbox since then. Some of the pics are of half of the drawer since I couldn't get it all in one photo.

By the way, before anyone says it looks like some of those tools haven't been used, these pics were right after I bought almost all the chrome sockets in the top drawer.
