Yess they slide better when weighted down. All ball bearing slides do.
The point was being "Snap On" means **** all on this particular component.

I just tinker at home, but here is the one I bought on sale (craftsman club) several years ago.
This was before I started putting tools in it.

That's not a bad box. I had the red version of the top box and I have almost the same bottom box (2 of them actually) under my Husky 52" 8 drawer top box. When the slides are lubed, they slide smooth.

a 1985 top box , 1987 mid box and 1969 roller cab

This is my recent acquisition. Got it free from a co-workers father who was just going to get rid of it.Just needs a little clean up and a repaint on the bottom.

New setup, think i'm good for awhile

well guys, i finally finished swapping everything over tonight. i got a new 3/4 top cut, going to stain and seal it black, like my old box pictured on the right, out with the old in with the new.
Yes i am, I will get some drawer pics before I leave today.ianguilly, are you a body guy? I would love to see some drawer pics!
