Here's a pic of my Mac boxes.
Whiskey drawer? Is that the narrow/deep drawer in the center top? What do ya normally put in a drawer like that anyway (besides your whiskey)? That's my idea of a garage! Always liked the whiskey drawer on a top box.

Where did you find those wrench holders in such a large size? I would like something to hold ALL my wrenches.

Yup thats the drawer. They story I always heard is that started as feature on machinist boxes for holding the machinist handbook. A lot of time the drawer can be lock byself for storing stuff like your wallet. I have a soft spot for those style and use my drawer for holding RTV and locktite.

That is such a good looking box, but when I looked at it the way it was built scared me for durability. How long have you had it? How have you liked it so far?
Most top boxes are like that.I like it except for the fact you have to have the top open to open any drawers on the top chest.

I was unaware of that. Thanks for letting me know.

If its a simple arrangement in the internals you can get around this by opening all drawers with the top open and then close the top before the drawers. This has worked for me in the past whatever way the mechanism was arranged in the back of the box. You just have to remember to close the top first if you know what I mean.
Didn't Snap On used to offer some top boxes with a lever that locked the drawers in place independent of the lid position? When the lid was closed it would cover the lever so it couldn't be accessed if you wanted it all locked up.

Welcome, slayer!
Great box and congrats to getting a solid box for little money. Much better to spend the money on tools than on the box![]()
I have little to no experience with top dollar truck boxes, but I thought the Kobalt stainless boxes seemed very well built. You certainly get your monies worth out of the thick stainless they use compared to some other boxes in the same price range.
