Just ordered a KRA4014FPBO today from Snap-On rep. for our enclosed trailer. I have outgrown the Snap-On box I currently have in it and need to expand. Hopefully it will be here in about 3-4 weeks. I will post up a picture of the old and the new one when I get it installed.

Mike.

I bought the top chest for my Gladiator Tool Box.
I have a question for anyone who has this box.
Does your top lid stay completely closed (no gap) when not locked?
Thanks, Chris

One of the best boxes for the money and very well made I speak from expierence:rocker:
I agree naturally, but please don't quote all those pictures next time. :shocking:

What is in the Easco case?
It's my dad's Easco 1/2" drive shallow metric 12 pt. sockets, from 10mm to 32mm (I think). The top impact sockets are my dad's as well and the two sets on the right are shared (well everything's shared I guess lol).

Does it have gas pistons for the lid? If so it's probably just from being new and the pistons need to be worked a few times.

I had some pictures of my toolbox in the garage gallery section but I also thought I would post a few here. I could not be happier with my Snap On box.

I am still not 100% set on the layout of all the tools so i think a few things will still change. I am also looking at ordering a set of Ernst Wrench Racks.

Yes it does, I will use it for a while and see if it gets better.

Like that you have lots of maximum tools:beer:
I'm a fan of most of them. Although snap on does make a nice wrench and ratchets but for sockets maximums will be just as good IMO

for me it's Snap-On. I like that they're garronteed for life and I don't have to take a bad tool to the store I bought it at. The Snap-On guy comes to me!
I do have a Snap-On welder coming and I will post pictures of it when it arrives.

I have been using my Maximum wrenches professionally for 7 years now, ZERO issue. They are an excellent product.

Very cool, I like all the short drawers like that, really bumps up the square inches.

I see you have a snap on ball peen dead blow and another. What brand is the other and is the snap on worth the extra money? What weight is that snappy? Snap on brags about the handle not passing through the hammer head and obstructing the shot. Is it noticeable?

both of those are snap on, the newer red one is an exchange because i destroyed the older blue point one i had and my truck guy gave me a SO one, the other smaller on is just an old one, works perfect, never really had a problem with either of them. i like them both the same i think on is a 12oz and the other is 20oz. as far as snap on being worth the extra money, i believe so for certain things, i picked these up used and for a good price, but i would buy new now if i needed one again. i am only a home garage wrencher, but i use and abuse the heck out of these, so if i ever kill one again the truck guy basically drives by my house on his route. quick exchange. done!! i dont really know about the last part about the handle, but these have worked for me for awhile, im happy

We're your drawer handle trim crimped on to the drawer itself ? How did you remove them or did you paint them while still on the box ?

they were crimped on there a little bit, but all i did was open the drawer just a tad to clear the sides and pulled on the trim piece, only really had trouble with one of them being crimped too tightly, a flat blade screwdriver took care of that, and then i just put a rag on it and crimped it slightly as i put them back on, painted them with a metallic black with clear coat, cant see it in the pic but it looks really cool. the trim around my wood top is painted the same. has a sparkle to it when the sun hits it. i think it sets the box off nicely

Yea I am just a home wrencher as well. I've almost bought a trusty cook, but a 24 oz is about 55 shipped. Snap on site says 87. Trusty is 2 year warranty, snap on lifetime afaik. If I get one replacement in a lifetime it pays for the snap on.

yeah, the lifetime thing plays a big part into what i buy now...especially after being on this site for some time......but all in all i like the hammers a lot, they work well and like all the craftsman stuff i have bought along with snap ons and such....i buy one and im done. no more am i buying cheap throw away cr@p, cause the second time i go to use it, i break it and wind up buying the nice one i wanted in the first place. also, i know my tools will bet used a ton, i have 2 sons and they love tools also even though they are only 2 and 3.

DO IT. I just bought myself some and my cousin some for for his birthday. So cheap and so sweet for storing wrenches. Easier to pick them up now to. Bought the 4 rail space saver set.

I'm redoing a roller and top chest right now. I'll post pics when I'm done stripping the bottom one. I believe the bottom one its craftsman from what I've been told and the chest is a snap on.

27" UltraPro Full of Mastercraft

Well, finally dawned on me while I was out in my (obviously luxurious) shop that I had my camera with me and should probably add my 2cents to the toolbox thread.

27" Ultrapro ULT 69730 & 69760 cabinet full of some well loved, mostly Mastercraft, tools.

acosi 151: hey fellow Canuck! Thanks for posting and all your great pics!

I love to ogle expensive new toolboxes but there's something equally satisfying about a well used toolbox full of well used tools. It looks like you'd done a ton of work out of that box. And without Ukranian Tire, where would the average Canuck get his tools? Are those Mastercraft Maximum wrenches? I've seen a lot of professional tech's using them around here.
