Hi my new toolbox I purchased today.
Halfords have a deal on till Wednesday, Buy the bottom chest and get the top one free, so only cost me £350.
It's a small collection of tools as I'm only a diy home mechanic so does me well

That's a good deal for a ball bearing box, I can't fault the Halfords gear I have bought and used in a pro environment. It's decent stuff and the special offers are great.

Thanks for the praise fellas. It was pretty pricy but fortunately for me, my father is a Matco dealer. So I guess you could say that I get a good deal. I'm not saying what I paid, but full list on something like that is pretty close to 30k. Not nearly as much as the tools that are hiding inside of it though lol

i think i like this more than alot of the snappy boxes around here... post up a new pic of the drawers?

Ah the "fatal error" picture message thing keeps getting me. :headscrat

Meanwhile I came up with a better pic idea. Not sure it's ever been done with a HF box. Actually what I do might be a fatal error in itself. :bounce:

Um...well...I'm 165, the ol' lady is 150, the youngin' is 32 and my drawers are full. I was gonna try it but that doesn't leave anybody to hold the camera. :headscrat

Unless you just want to take my word for it. :)

I'll take your word for it. Plus I don't want to be responsible for replacing anyone's drawer if they try this and find out every brand in the world could not hold up to this.

Got this Kennedy set last weekend at a yard sale. It had been listed on Craigslist but for too much, so I didn't bother to call. I recognized it from the online photo, and was able to work a fair price at $300 for the set. It's in reasonable shape, will probably get a can of touch up paint from MSC or Kennedy to touch up a few smaller areas. The forward half of the 295 roller has lost a lot of the paint from shop oils over the years, what was under the MC-28 mid-box is clean. Once I repair that surface, I will trim to fit a rubber piece (HD or Lowe's has rolls in flooring dept) to fit. The 526 box felt is very good and will be left as is for now.

And for my oldest son's birthday, I found a KRA2007 on Craigslist in Louisiana. Definitely used, but will last his lifetime and then some for his level of use.

lol...this makes that snap on pic so much more funny. check it out, i can stand in my 300 dollar box, right next to you in your 3000 dollar one...hahahaha

totally renders the 'will they stand in it' argument useless.

i like the drawer setup too.

I'm sure it's double slides in that drawer? A guy I work with tried that on a Kennedy. 125 lb slides, guy was 160, didn't put all his weight on it. That drawer was never the same again. I bet the us general wont be either, especially if his wife and kid join him.

Yes it's double slides. Yes the drawer still works as it should and no damage was done. No I'm not going for a second round of pictures with me or the family. I rarely get lucky twice.
