How about a few more glamor shots? Make sure to post a few more when you get it all cleaned up and moved in.

I will. I am in the process of revamping the garage now...new paint on the walls, some new cabinets and storage, etc. I should have taken some "before" pics but didn't so I will try to document my progress in another thread as best I can.

Bowtieguy thats awesome! I pit for a good friend of mine, we run a killer chassis out of Kentucky and run a 604 crate as well as a 421 open motor. We get the likes from guys like Pete Parker, Jimmy Mars, AJ Deimel around here, its a good time for sure.

This is my toolbox I am happy with it but its filled and I'm overflowing back into my 26 inch old red craftsman boxes. I mainly work on motorcycles so I don't need anything huge.

The bottom box was my first tool box, I bought the top when I filled up the bottom. I'm a mechanic with about 6 months real world experience. Aside from that I work on my cars and bike. The FLF936 was a hand down from my dad, the old cresent was a hand down from my grampa. Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

John, I don't know what else to say buy WOW, just WOW.
What do you typically work on? Is that in your home shop or at work? Just curious. I love the organization and the way that so many things match. How old is your son?

RCP, I really like those layout of those 12 drawer bottom boxes.

Short video of my box

An hour of videos of my box LOL

Part1

Part2

You talked me outta the Cman 'complete set'. Though I was already on the edge.
Lotta good info in those videos.
Gotta ask why you don;t want your kid in your career field though. :(
Still think your obsessed with the TechAngles :lol_hitti

The new box is really cool, though I admit your setup with the lockers, esp with the cases all organized seemed 'better' but I think I remember you saying your planning lockers just aren't there yet. I have wondered how you keep your tools like that, I usually clean them with a silicone based lube, but I'm gonna try out the turtle wax. , I think its cool you have all the new tech, like the tablet/card reader/bluetooth module, I'm definitely gonna research the Bluetooth module for my android (real smartphone).

Many thinks again man, hope he new shop is rolling well :3gears:
I really wanna see what the deal is with that tool cart

Here's my boxes! Love them to DEATH. Branded as Mastercraft but built by Beach (as far as I know). They're in near mint shape, I lucked out big time. Spent $300 on both IIRC.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that prefers to lay the pliers down in shallow drawers. I tried one of the stand up racks but din't find it a great as most around here make them out to be and I needed the deep drawer for bigger tools....that reminds me, I have to go post some stuff in the classifieds section....

My Matco home away from home. Since I'm more in the supervisory mode these days I think it will work nice in my new home garage. Old pic as it has 6 spring loaded casters on it now.

I have the same boxes as you. My top box is identical to your but my bottom box has the full length handles. I bought mine back in the mid 80's

I bought this snap on KRA56H at a garage sale full of tools. I just painted it to match my craftsman boxes.

Great job, that looks really nice. However I think that is the first time I have ever heard anyone try to make a snap on box match a craftsman :lol_hitti Usually its the other way around.

My new box. The bottom and top I saved from the scrap bin at work, the middle is new.

Very nice, I saw your other post about the 5 drawer mid. Scrap bin you say, so where would this dumpster be located? :D

What is the width on that bottom box? A friend of mine just bought an identical setup, 3 drawer bottom with 5 drawer mid as the top. We are trying to figure out a way to convert the top of the mid box into a standard covered top with hinged lid. Any suggestions?

Its 29" wide. Yeah, they get new stuff and just scrap the old ones (unless someone stakes a claim to it while it's sitting outside waiting). I would assume you could weld on some type of piano hinge and use a piece of 18 gauge steel, then fabricate some sort of fancy looking lock.

Here is my budget set-up. It is a Stanley top & bottom with a Performax Intermediate chest, complete with Craftsman badges.
