Disagree. I MUCH prefer to be able to just look at the pics without having to open them. As long as the original image is not so huge the I have to scroll back and forth on my iPad.

welderguy24 - there be some money spent there!

nice to actually see tools that have been used and abused extensively instead of the jewelry showroom stuff!

Why do these sort of statements always pop up? Who cares if someone's tools are dirty or if they are clean? I personally know guys who are complete slobs and guys who are entirely obsessed with cleanliness...both sets can do work and do it well when it comes down to it. And just the opposite is true as well...some complete slobs who can't turn a wrench worth a flip and some incessant tool polishers.

Kind of pointless though to make broad sweeping generalizations based on the cleanliness or lack thereof in someone's box.

naaaaa you see it's kinda pointless to make broad sweeping generalizations thinking I was talking about the cleanliness or lack thereof in someones box.

I think a box should be clean, just like welder guy24's is.

And if a guy (or gal) has the time to clean their tools, all the better.

I made the comment on how evident from his pics that he actually USES and ABUSES his tools

THAT is REFRESHING as opposed to many pics here i've seen of complete PRISTINE sets of tools that have obviously never been used, some still in their original plastic wrap.

You can keep all those ADHD organized, cleaned, complete and UNUSED tool pics, I'll applaud the working tools!

I picked all three of these up off of eBay from a guy named sprintracer or something... I couldn't build and paint them for what he charges for them.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I use my tools and they put food on the table, I like to wipe them down but that doesnt always happen. I also wipe my box down about once a month.

This thread needs even more green. I picked up this KRL7022 a week ago, I don't have many pictures of it but you get the idea.

Not mine. It's the shop diesel mechanic's that he got in on trade a few weeks ago. It's a 84" Epiq with side lockers and work center. Not pictured flanking the Epiq are his two KRL 1022's. One is black and the other is red. His guys have a SO KRA 53X24 and a Matco 6 57X28.

My smaller 26" toolbox for work inside the house and basement. Mostly Gedore and also some cheaper Stanley brand tools.

This is going to sound odd...I like to look at other people's green toolboxes, but would never want one in my personal garage. They're just not my style, but I still enjoy them.

Finally after 5 years with the same box, I purchased a much needed upgrade! Started out with just the bottom half of the red box, thought that was lots of room and id never fill it, couple of years later I picked up the top half on sale and thought the same thing about the top half. After moving jobs to another shop and having to pull my old box apart I began to realize how bad condition it was in, sliders were seized, bearings were falling out of them etc. I decided it was time for an upgrade so i took the 36" top and bottom home and purchased this.

56" roll cabinet, made by a company called evercraft, it was purchased through Napa, I'm actually very impressed with this box, quality is outstanding for the price, sized very well, lots of depth to the draws compared to my old box, draws slide well and it looks like it was built very well. Needless to say for less then $1000 i'm very happy with this box.

Only downside to having more room is it gives me an excuse to buy more tools ;)

Nice setup/upgrade. Is that a Mini on the lift? What is it in for out of curiosity? I went to school with a guy that had one, man was that a B to work on.

Mine are the red Snapper, the black Kobalt, and the diamond plate Husky.

The blue Snapper is my shop-mate's. I had the same box in a previous life. But i really miss my flat grey Matco triple bank.
I traded it off for a bike when i quit working at dealerships

I think I've posted in here before but not sure. Had to step outside to get them all in the pic. Stanley Vidmar cabinets are, in my opinion, the best tool storage option available. I sold all 6 of my Snap On boxes and replaced them with these.

Are those listas? What are the dimensions? Very nice setup.

That photo is hard for me to process. Multiple tool boxes all the same color, no rust or dings? I've heard of these situations, but never seen or experienced them. :dunno:

Not Lista, they're Stanley Vidmar cabinets. They are 30" wide, 21.5" deep, and 76" tall. The 21" depth is less than desirable but I have eight of them so even though my storage is only 21" deep, it is 20 feet wide and 76" tall. Plenty of room for all of my stuff.
