New here! I just picked up this Husky 46" tool chest yesterday from HD. It was on sale for $239.00. I know this is not a Snap On or Mac, but this is a nice upgrade from my small Craftsman box and my cheap Torin stack on chest. Those boxes did their job and now hold extra hand tools and stuff not regulary used. I am just a weekend warrior wrencher and I'm beginning a garage make over. I have a generous 2 car attached. You can tell it's mess in the background. I have a Hobart 175 220v welder, lots of power tools, and some auto dianostic stuff.

Welcome! Let us know how you like the box. Can we get some more pictures of the drawers?

Nice! what a deal for 239 bucks. Did it come with the butcher block top?

Yes, it did. I will take some more pics of it. I really like it, so far. It has ball bearing drawers that slide very smooth. My impacts and air tools are in the bottom drawers and the drawers still slide nicely. The casters seem pretty tough and it rolls great.

I'm going to build a new work bench almost an entire wall in length this box will tuck under it. It's all about making room with my garage facelift.

Most of my hand tools are Craftsman purely because I can afford them and they are readily available. However, I'm not brand loyal.

Good buy! I would go take a look at your drawer slides, and make sure they are all riveted to the box and the drawers. I recently bought a Craftsman (Waterloo) and while they had holes for the rivets, there weren't actual rivets used just the tabs. I have gone back and riveted the slides on the box and drawers and WOW what a difference. I'd also check to see if there are spots for more slides on the deep drawers. There are on my Craftsman, and I plan on ordering more to double up all the deep drawers. Just a suggestion to help firm up the box.

Zkling, they do flex some, but I don't have them overloaded, and I'm only a DIY wrencher now, so it works.
Homewood, I had the 52" version of that box for awhile, it was a nice box and held lots of stuff. I just can't seem to find a box drawer set up I actually like. I keep trying different ones. LOL
That 52", I do regret selling, but at the time I needed the cash. Good luck with it. And WELCOME to the GJ!

So I won't be too hard on you because i'm almost 60 and I don't have a bench set up with all that storage. and yours is on wheels too. does it actually roll around or is it full of tools and pretty much staying where it is?

where did you find that set up or did you make it yourself???

Awesome idea to use the end box to tie the two 44's together. Best of luck.

Im wondering if he swapped the castors from end to end on the box on the far left and then bolted the 3 together if it would be steerable to move around.
It would end up and be like a Kennedy machinist box with the 6 wheels (on steroids) with the solid wheels in the center and steering on both ends...

I love the set up, especially if you were in an assigned bay where you would not be moving it at all.

Very nice.

Just traded out my Craftsman 26 for a HF 56. Took the wheels off and squeezed it under my workbench. Kept the Craftsman side cab for extra storage.

A couple drawers....

What you do think?

Very nice requin6! Id like to see more pictures of the rest of your drawers and how you have them set up as it's very similar to mine and I also have the 56" box which I got this past august. More pics!!
