Gas prices have really been killing me, figured it was time to upgrade. Hopefully this will help :D

How do you like that Carlyle ratchet compared to your snap-on ratchets?

And…

How do you like that snap-on indexable ratchet?

The caryle ratchets are nuce. As far as being smooth I'd have to go with the snap on. The snap on indexable ratchet is temporarily out of service. The gears are stripped. It's a buddy's at work I'm just warranting it.

I think they are not which i do not like, but the screwdrivers themselves are amazing i beat on them, pry with them and probably do some over torquing with them and they still hold up very well!

@Brownsfan

Honestly i do not like this craftsman box at all! The drawers are build so crappy! Thin metal!! Whenever I roll the box around the hanger the drawers bang around even when it is locked!! Thumbs down! I cant wait until my SO box comes!!

That foam looks very clean. What did you use to make the cuts?

The foam is from Craftsman, and to cut the tools out I used an exacto knife, #11 blade specifically.

its very time consuming, but well worth it in the end. with every tool having a cutout, its easy to see if I'm missing a tool just by glancing at the open drawer.

I share some garage space with my housemates, but I take my workspace & toolbox more seriously than they do:

It is an awesome wrench, an old guy at work gave it to me before he retired...it's custom, a Snapon handle and a half of a deep offset 6 point wrench...it's the best wrench to have for stubborn fwd Chrysler torque converter bolts

yeah, the price was steep even for a single wrench, but I've done a bunch of nitrous & CO2 system installs, and the AN4 size is whats used most for those, so it was worth the price to have the right tool.

Here is mine.

Oh man that is just

That with the second side locker, or the Snap Epiq version with both lockers, is my dream toolbox.

I don't think I will ever have one, but do I love to dream

Please do post up a pic if you add the second side locker.

Yes they did. Looks like he removed the door. Lots of guys have risers with no doors. That's a riser if it has doors it's a hutch

A fresh wax!

Ratchets so far. most used are put in with the sockets

Top compartment. Tune up and brakes tools. Little scanner that is awesome. Multimeter in black case on left (youll see it in my bottom drawer picture but I keep it here now). Speeders, ratchets, knives, and misc. stuff. Also keep my grandfathers 50's or 60's screwdrivers (red and black) in the middle for good luck.

Sockets (shallow, semi-deep, deep, and swivel in both 1/4 and 3/8. Hex bit 4-10 and torx t8-t55), extensions, and my most used ratchets. Adapters and universals as well.

Wrenches, 10-22, +24 In Flank Drive and 10-19 Ratcheting Flank Drive Plus. 60 offset. A couple Mac 0 offset, love em. Allen keys. And seal spoons and scrapers that I have no room to put anywhere else lol

Screwdrivers. Pretty straight forward. Got the minis layed out.

And how the drawer usually looks. Got new torx so I jus put them on top and slide them off what I need.

Pliers and clip tools in back

Black roll pouch on the right is this

Impacts, SN24 Breaker bar, hammer, punches, roll pin punches, radiator picks, and torque wrenches

Torque wrenches

Last drawer, Beginning of my diagnostic tools spread out. Compression gauge, coolant system tester, and multimeter. Black cased with red snap on is cts561 cordless screwdriver that I'm trading for the 661 lithium once my driver gets it in.

Same drawer with cases stacked on side like usual, and minus the coolant tester i usually lay on the 1/2 impacts.
Impact sockets. Shallow, deep, and swivel in 3/8 and 1/2

I dont have any drawer pics but here is my setup. I unfortunately inherited the box from my dad. I had a mac box before that I sold.

Thanks guys for this thread, this is my current setup. 2 craftsman and a snap on tool cart.

Im planning on selling the two right boxes (snap on and crafstman) and picking up a single 44 in US general harbor freight special for right now, then grabbing a second one down the line. Space in my garage is at a premium so im opting for 2 lower profile boxes to make a small work bench.
