It arrived today from Naperville Illinois, wrapped in plastic covered in styrofoam enclosed in a heavy cardboard box and encircled with heavy pressboard with metal flashing on the corners. The delivery guy said it was the most carefully packed thing he had ever seen, including expensive medical equipment. It's an Extreme 72" roll cab with 18 drawers and a stainless top. The first thing I did was pry off those garish Extreme Tools logos. I told my wife when she took the picture that when I die she can gut the box and bury me in it!

Here's the first attempt at drawer organization. I still need to put the 1/2" extensions on a socket rail. I might move the drive hardware over to the main socket drawer depending on room. I also want to see how the stuff stays put on that stock liner foam:

This is the box i am running in my Service van. Good ole Weathergard Rat Pak drawer. These things are built like a tank!

Everything but pipe wrenches are in it. It is roughly 4 feet deep it I remember right. I don't keep my 2 large sets of gear wrenches in it either. They are on rack and basically sit on top of the box.

You guys said tool boxes :lol_hitti
New to me tractor supply tool box, got it from a guy at work for $100 bill. its almost brand new. I have it screwed in with 2 sheet metal screws at the moment to keep it from being yanked out. Going to bolt it down as soon as I plug two other screw holes the pervious owner put in it.

My old craftsman box and a bench I've been working on. Drug it out of a flooded basement and grinded most the rust off and painted it. Going to be looking for a metal top for it or butcher top I suppose.

Welcome, Nice boxes and tools! Can we get some pics and story behind the vintage stack on the right hand side? ;)

Yep. that's my Old Faithful:

I bought the Mac bottom box and Snap-On top box filled with a motley collection of tools back in the 70's from a guy in Stockton who had fallen on hard times. They were old when I bought them. As my tool collection grew, I ran out of room and added the Craftsman middle box, then the Craftsman side cab later on. So I guess I should name the unit Topsy, because she just growed! After inheriting my Dad's tool collection earlier this year, I knew I needed more room, so that's when I began my research, eventually resulting in the purchase of the Extreme 72" box. It would have been hard to see Topsy go, but luckily my brother-in-law needs a rollaway so he will be keeping it in the family.

That Craftsman side box looks cool.
How deep is it ?

It's the same depth as the middle box, about a foot I'd say.

I've been to Sears in the last couple weeks, and I don't know if they still make those. I also have another Craftsman middle box in dark blue that I'm keeping for my BMW and British special tools, it has 4 drawers. I bought that one around 2005, and I think they are out of production as well.
Cheers,
Paul

Impressive collection. Do you ever forget you have a certain tool? Like when you transferred them, did you uncover a lot of tools you forgot you had? It's a good feeling for sure, like getting a tool for free (one that was handpicked by -yourself).

Actually I removed quite a few tools that were duplicates. I did find a few tools that I thought I has lost and had replaced.

This is my box. It's a MasterCraft maximum box with a aluminum side cabinet that came off a utility truck body.

Its stocked with mostly mastercraft, craftsmen and snap on.
